Lost.

Sunday morning I awoke early, 6AM, because I couldn't sleep so I started off the day by working on my Polish homework for this week.  However, I'm stuck on the meaning of two words..męskożywotny and męskorzeczowy. Can anyone explain them to me?  I searched the internet but the explanations need explanations in order to understand what they are or how they are used. I think this may be beyond my capabilities at the level I am.

After Joan woke up and we had breakfast we studied our Spanish together and I found three new episodes of the Mad Men series we will watch tonight.

It's still First Communion time here and it's cute to see the young boys and girls walking around in their white clothing going to and from the church. Our balcony overlooks the street leading to it so it was a steady parade of them in the morning.  Two of our friends have children having their First Communion and we were invited.   We felt it was more of a family affair and decided not to go. It's rather amusing that I have so many relatives living very close to me and yet we see more of our friends than family. It's not a decision that we make.

    Dear David,

The words meskozywotny and meskoosobowy have to do with gender of nouns.
Most the time the masculine singular noun will be masculine plural noun in declension. Some of musculine singular nouns will become niemeskozywotne. There is website called Rada Jezyka Polskiego where they have article about this matter and it has samples of meskoosobowych and meskozywotnych nouns. You should remember that there are 3 basic gender: masculine, feminine and neuter. I hope I did not mix you up. When I went to school we had only 3 genders and had to learn the rules how declension works and what changes to what.
I will try to translate the necessary page from Rada Jezyla Polskiego and send it to you by email.

Good lucka nd best wishes to you and Joan,

So, męskożywotny is kinda like how to be a man (means different things to different people), while the other word refers to thongs that are masculine in nature, maybe like football, hunting, trapping, etc. Hope this helps!
