Election and Oliwia

Tomorrow, November 3, may be one of the biggest days in the history of the United States. It's a chance to slow down or put an end to the destruction that the Trump administration has inflicted upon the citizens of that country. It's the opportunity to vote in the midterm elections and replace senators and members of the House of Representatives in the Congress of the United States.

However, Donny Trump and his administration will do everything in their power to prevent them from being officially announced as representatives on January 3. They will do everything they can, pull out all the stops, and do every dirty trick they can come up with to stop the certification. I think the period between November 4th and January 3rd will be the hardest time in the United States.

All that being put aside, today was a really great day for Joan and me. It was an opportunity to once again meet with our dear cousin Olivia, who is now living in Edinburgh. We picked her up from the train station at 12:45 and brought her to our home. She was a little hungry, so I gave her a nice bowl of chicken noodle soup. We sat and talked about many different things except politics. She does not pay attention to politics. Our meeting only lasted about 2 hours because she had a plane to catch at 5:00, and I had to get her to the airport 2 hours before the plane departed. At 2:45, we were back in the car and to the airport by 3:00. She invited us once again to come to Edinburgh to visit her there. It's something to contemplate for a trip next year. If possible, I would like to take advantage of the invitation.
