Al and Shunjuan left this morning on the 10:20AM express train to Berlin. I picked them up at 9:30AM and drove them to the train station, only 10 minutes away. While we were there we watched a policeman give a ticket to someone who was smoking on the platform. He had to pay it immediately.The train arrived only 5 minutes late, we said or goodbyes and then I walked back to where I had parked the car. It was a beautiful sunny, warm (56 degrees) day and I saw some yellow flowers in bloom near the station that I took a picture of.
Joan and I returned to our normal schedule of studying for 3 hours, then we took a long walk and saw several different kinds of blooming flowers like crocus and miniature daffodils. Spring is fast approaching and we're really looking forward to it.
Before Al left America I had him buy a new digital camera for me, a Canon
Power Shot S5IS that I'll be using now. It's a small compact camera that I read about and investigated before I bought it. Now I can take better night shots, closeups and videos. It has so many features that it will take me a while to get use to and what I can do with it but I was getting frustrated with the Nikon Coolpix I was using because without a lot of light it was impossible to take good pictures.
Did I mention today was beautiful:-) It was so warm I wore a spring jacket, no hat and no gloves. Our lesson for tomorrow is about directions. How to tell someone to turn left, turn right, go straight ahead, etc. so we used our walk to practice saying these things in Polish. I have had more than a few people ask me for directions somewhere and now I can tell them how to get where they want to go.

Joan i ja wr贸ci艂em do naszego normalnego planu studiowania przez 3 godziny, wtedy wzi臋li艣my d艂ugi spacer i zobaczyli艣my kilka r贸偶nych rodzaj贸w kwitn膮cych kwiat贸w jak krokus i miniaturowe 偶onkile. Wiosna szybko adchodzi i naprawd臋 oczekujemy tego.
Przed Al opuszcza艂a Ameryka kaza艂em mu kupi膰 nowy cyfrowy aparat fotograficzny dla mnie, Kanonu Si艂a Strzela艂 S5IS, 偶e b臋d臋 u偶ywa膰 teraz.
