Surprise visitor & tree garden.

We had a surprise visit from a green locust on our living room window frame. I tried to get close up pictures of his head but I need a better lens for that. In the evening the moon was in and out of the clouds.

A nice day and finally, after passing the place maybe 200+ times, we stopped the visit the Ogród Dendrologiczny(Tree Garden). It's part of the Mickiewicz University. The garden was created in 1920 and with an area of 4 ha it forms part of the western greenery wedge. On its grounds one can find practically all species of trees and shrubs existing in Polish forests and most important species growing abroad. I don't know if many local people are even aware if it's existence. There was no one there except Joan and I.

  

For many years the garden occupied 4.17 ha of fenced area with a gate from ul. Niestachowska. In the years 2010-2013, on the council of the Rector of the University of Life Sciences, near the north-western fragment of the Golęcinski Forest. Part of the garden is fenced and has three entrances: main gate is from ul. Warmia, from ul. Niestachowska and from the Golęciński Wood. More or less the center of the original part is small. On the area of ​​the complex "Our Forests" is a trail. 

Niespodziewanie odwiedził nas zielony konik polny, siadając w naszym salonie na ramie okiennej. Próbowałem zrobić z bliska zdjęcia jego głowy, ale muszę mieć do tego lepszy obiektyw. Wieczorem księżyc to pojawiał się, to znikał za chmurami.

Ładny dzień, dlatego wreszcie, po minięciu tego miejsca może ponad 200 razy, odwiedziliśmy Ogród Dendrologiczny. To część Uniwersytetu Mickiewicza. Ogród został stworzony w 1920 roku, na powierzchni 4 ha, jest zachodnim klinem zieleni. Na jego terenie można znaleźć praktycznie wszystkie gatunki drzew i krzewów występujących w polskich lasach i najważniejsze gatunki rosnące za granicą. Nie wiem, czy wielu Poznaniaków jest świadomych jego istnienia. Nie było tam nikogo oprócz Joan i mnie.

Przez wiele lat ogród zajmował 4,17 ha ogrodzonego terenu, z bramą od ul. Niestachowskiej. A w latach 2010-2013, pod egidą Rektora Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego, w pobliżu północno-zachodniego fragmentu Parku Golęcińskiego. Część ogrodu jest ogrodzona i posiada trzy wejścia: główne bramy od ul. Warmia, z ul. Niestachowskiej i z Parku Golęcińskiego. Centrum oryginalnej części jest niewielkie. Jest częścią szlaku w obszarze nazwanym „Nasze Lasy”.
