Yesterday was the celebration of the Wielkopolska uprising of 1918–1919. It was an insurrection of Poles in
Pozna艅 against German rule. The uprising had a significant effect on the Treaty of Versailles. There has been only 2 successful uprisings in Poland. The other one was in 1806.
For many years, fans of Lech Poznan, Poznan's soccer team, have been organizing spectacular illumination for this occasion and it was similar this year. Participants of the action met at the Rataje roundabout, and then formed a chain stretching from 艢r贸dka street to Staro艂臋ka.
Punctually at 16:40, thousands of flares were lit and trams and city buses stopped for a minute.
At 19:00, the beginning of the Wielkopolska Uprising a run was planned from Rataje to
Plac Wolno艣ci where an insurgent camp once stood.

Przez wiele lat kibice Lecha Pozna艅, pozna艅skiej dru偶yny pi艂karskiej, organizowali spektakularne o艣wietlenie z tej okazji i podobnie by艂o w tym roku. Uczestnicy akcji spotkali si臋 na rondzie Rataje, a nast臋pnie utworzyli 艂a艅cuch rozci膮gaj膮cy si臋 od 艢r贸dki do Staro艂臋ki.
Punktualnie o 16:40 rozb艂ys艂y tysi膮ce flar i tramwaje, a autobusy miejskie zatrzyma艂y si臋 na minut臋.
O 19.00 zaplanowano pocz膮tek Powstania Wielkopolskiego z Rataje na Plac Wolno艣ci, gdzie sta艂 kiedy艣 ob贸z powsta艅czy.
