BRRRRRRRRRRRR. It's getting colder and our walking is getting faster. Joan had to go back to the doctor so he could write a new prescription subsitute for the Premarin she takes. I must that I've never had such short waiting periods to get into the doctor's office. Today was the longest..ten minutes. The fact that the doctor actually comes out of his office to get his next patient is kind of impressive. In the States, a nurse comes out to get you and then you wait and wait in the doctors office for him to appear.
Her appointment was at 4:40 and she was out of the office by 5PM. I remember in the States she would wait for an hour just to get into the office and then an hour later she was done. I realize that this is a private medical clinic we belong to and the National health system in not anything like this. My cousins who use the National system have told me of hours waiting to see the doctor. Our program is expensive, by Polish standards, 650 zl ($253) . We are not eligible for the National system and even if we were I wouldn't use it if I didn't have to. Her prescription for three months worth was 56zl ($22). In the U.S. it cost $90 (230 zl). Quite a difference.
We had our Polish lesson. We had to prepare 15-20 sentences that told about our family and recite it without reading it. That was difficult. Friday we will have our first test to see how much we have learned. I'm looking forward to that.
We had time after Joan's appointment to stop at Dom Viking贸w in Stary Rynek. It's the restaurant where Joan will go tomorrow to the meeting of the International Ladies Club of Pozna艅.
BRRRRRRRRRRRR. To dostaje si臋 zimniejszy i nasze chodzenie dostaje si臋 szybszy. Joan musia艂a wr贸ci膰 do doktora tak on m贸g艂by napisa膰 nowy nakazu subsitute dla preMarin, kt贸r膮 ona bierze. Musz臋, 偶e nigdy nie mia艂em takich kr贸tkich okres贸w oczekiwania by dosta膰 si臋 do biura doktor贸w. Dzisiaj by艂y longest..ten minuty. Fakt, 偶e doktorzy faktycznie przychodz膮 z jego biura by dosta膰 jego nast臋pny pacjent jest mi艂y ze strony wywo艂uj膮cego g艂臋bokiego wra偶enia. W Stanach, piel臋gniarka wychodzi dosta膰 ciebie i wtedy czekasz i czekasz w biurze doktor贸w na niego by pojawi膰 si臋.
Jej um贸wiony termin by艂 o 4:40 i ona by艂a poza biurem przez 5PM. Pami臋tam w Stanach ona czeka艂aby na godzin臋 w艂a艣nie by dosta膰 si臋 do biura i wtedy godzina p贸藕niej ona by艂a zrobiona. Nie jeste艣my odpowiedni dla Narodowego systemu i nawet gdyby艣my byli nie u偶y艂bym tego je偶eli nie mia艂em do. J膮 recepta na trzy miesi膮ce warte by艂y 56zl ($22). W Stanach Zjednoczonych to kosztowane $90 (230 zl). Ca艂kiem r贸偶nica.
Mieli艣my nasz膮 polsk膮 lekcj臋. Musieli艣my przygotowa膰 zda艅 15-20, kt贸re opowiedzia艂y o naszej rodzinie i recytuj膮 to bez czytania tego. To by艂o trudne. Pi膮tek b臋dziemy mie膰 nasz pierwszy test by zobaczy膰 ile nauczyli艣my si臋. Oczekuj臋 tamtego.
Mieli艣my czas po um贸wionym terminie Joan by zatrzyma膰 si臋 w Dom Viking贸w w Stary Rynek. To jest restauracja gdzie Joan p贸jdzie jutro do spotkania Pa艅 Klubu Mi臋dzynarod贸wki Pozna艅.
