Nice Saturday

Absolutely gorgeous today so at noon we started our day in the rynek.  This is the week of the Arts & Crafts festival. Artists, craftsman and even "junk sellers" put up kiosks in the market square and sell their products.  Of course, there are also food vendors and beer gardens set up also.  It's a good place to buy breads and kielbasas that you wouldn't normally find in stores.  Many are made by individual butchers and bakers so there is a wide variety.

We started with coffee at Cafe 55, sat for a while watching the people go by and then took a stroll around the rynek to see everything.  The kiosk with the wooden utensils was interesting, some of the handmade clothes were nice but too expensive and I liked the Indian headdresses though I question their authenticity.

There is a stage setup on the eastside where performances are given each day throughout the week by different kinds of groups.  When we were there, three young boys were sitting some traditional songs but the microphones were setup too high and it interfered with the sound.  You can see that in the picture of the boy with a tie on.

Just past the stage was the usual horse and carriage ride but the horses and not exactly in their prime of life.  Still, it was nice to see the horses up close.  As we were leaving the rynek we passed by the Sienkiewicz juseum which has the plague on it you can see.

Our car was parked on Franciszkańska street by the Kings church so we walked uphill to our car and I took some pictures of the progress on the Kings Castle.

It was too nice to go home so we drove to the Opera house on Fredry street, parked the car and walked up to the fountain.  It's a great place to sit under the shade of the old trees and watch the children plan in the fountain's pool.  Sitting in the park were too nuns, fully clothed in the old style "habit" and I couldn't stop myself from wondering how hot they must have been since it was 30c.  I remember when I was young and my aunt, also a nun, would come to visit us in the summer with the same style habit on and how hot it was for her.

We left about 3:30PM, drove home and I dropped Joan off at Chata Polska to buy some smoked bacon for tonight's Cobb salad.  I waited outside of our building for her and photographed her walking home.

Solutnie wspaniały dzisiaj tak w południe rozpoczęliśmy dzień w rynek. To jest tydzień festiwalu Arts & Crafts. Artyści, rzemieślnik, a nawet "sprzedawców śmieci" przygotowane kiosków w rynku i sprzedawać swoje produkty. Oczywiście, istnieją również producenci żywności i ogródki piwne, które również. Jest to dobre miejsce do kupowania pieczywa i kielbasas, że normalnie nie znaleźć w sklepach. Wiele z nich przez poszczególnych rzeźników i piekarzy, więc nie jest szeroki.


Zaczęliśmy kawy w Cafe 55, siedział podczas oglądania ludzie mijają, a następnie wziął na spacer po Rynku, aby zobaczyć wszystko. Kiosk z drewnianych przyborów kuchennych było ciekawe, niektóre z ręcznie ubrania były ładne, ale zbyt drogie i lubię Indian diademy ale mam pytanie ich autentyczności.

Tam jest ustawienie sceny na występy Eastside, gdzie podane są każdego dnia przez cały tydzień, przez różnego rodzaju grupy. Kiedy tam byliśmy, trzech młodych chłopców siedzi kilka tradycyjnych pieśni, ale mikrofony konfiguracji zbyt wysoka i ingerować w dźwięk. Widać, że w obrazie chłopca z remisu na.

Tuż za etap był zwykle koni i przejażdżek bryczkami, ale konie i nie do końca w pełni sił życia. Mimo to, miło było zobaczyć konie z bliska. Kiedy wyjeżdżaliśmy Rynku mijamy juseum Sienkiewicz, który ma na to plaga widać.

Nasz samochód był zaparkowany przy ulicy Franciszkańskiej przez Kościół Kings tak weszliśmy na górę do samochodu i zrobiłem kilka zdjęć z postępów w Zamku Królewskiego.

To było zbyt miło wracać do domu więc pojechaliśmy do domu na ulicy Fredry Opera, zaparkowałem samochód i podszedł do fontanny. To wspaniałe miejsce na odpoczynek w cieniu starych drzew i obejrzeć plan dzieci w fontannie znajduje się basen. Siedząc w parku były też siostry, w pełni ubranego w starym stylu "habit" i nie mogłem powstrzymać się od zastanawiasz się, jak gorące muszą być od momentu 30c. Pamiętam, kiedy byłem młody i moja ciotka, również zakonnicy, przyjdzie do nas w lecie tego samego zwyczaj styl i jak gorąco było dla niej.

Wyruszyliśmy o 15:30, pojechaliśmy do domu i rzuciłem się w Joan Chata Polska, aby kupić boczek wędzony na dzisiejszej Sałatka Cobb. Czekałem na zewnątrz naszego budynku dla niej i fotografowali ją do domu pieszo.
