The Empresss's new clothes.

I was able to upload the new exercise video for Joan. It's only 7 minutes long.

I put the wheelchair in the car, helped Joan downstairs and we were off to Poznań Plaza, 10 minutes away. They have a sale of summer clothes and I wanted to buy Joan some new tank tops before they were all gone. All they had in colors were black or white so I bought 2 of each of them. Cost. $7 dollars each She only had 2 before and it wasn't enough when I had to wash clothes. We were both satisfied with the purchase.

Heavy clothes of gray brought rain-storms today to our little neighborhood. Well, little now but in the next 2 years with all the new apartment buildings, it will easily add over 4,000 people. The new builders are doing something different. They are actually putting in the streets before the buildings are finished. That may seem normal in the U.S. but not in Poland. We have other apartment complexes built 5 years ago and some still do not have real streets, only a dirt road.  For myself, I'm not a shopper but I like shopping for clothes for Joan. The wheelchair makes it much easier to visit several shops before we decide.

Last night it was  Creamy Garlic Chicken with salad. Joan helped, but sitting in her wheelchair. When I'm cooking and have to wait for something to get done, I wash whatever I've used, like a bowl or small pot.  I was rinsing a bowl when the sink drainage plugged up and the water wouldn't go down. I tried everything to unplug it. Finally, I went to the store, Chata Polska, and bought a bottle of Kret. It's a drain cleaner in granular form. I poured 1/4 of the bottle in the drain, waited, and nothing happened. I took the extreme route and poured the whole bottle in. There were sounds like your stomach makes when you're hungry but still no resolve,  Thinking I was going to have to call a plumber tomorrow, I sat down next to Joan. When the grumblings of the Kret finished, I went back into the kitchen, and, Wallah, the sink water was gone. I was happy. I finished making the dinner, set the table on the balcony, and served Joan her dinner.  She told me 4 times how good it was. :-)

The news here-Poland is monitoring the situation on its border with Belarus, as the Belarusian army plans to hold drills this week in the Grodno region bordering Poland and Lithuania, Deputy Defence Minister Wojciech Skurkiewicz said last Monday.

Włożyłem wózek do samochodu, pomogłem Joan na dole i ruszyliśmy na Poznań Plaza, 10 minut dalej. Mają wyprzedaż letnich ubrań i chciałem kupić Joan nowe podkoszulki, zanim ich nie będzie. Wszystkie miały kolor czarny lub biały, więc kupiłem po 2 sztuki z każdego z nich. Koszt. 7 dolarów za sztukę. Wcześniej miała tylko 2 i to nie wystarczyło, kiedy musiałem prać ubrania. Oboje byliśmy zadowoleni z zakupu.

Ciężkie szare ubrania przyniosły dziś burze w naszej małej okolicy. Cóż, teraz niewiele, ale w ciągu najbliższych 2 lat przy wszystkich nowych budynkach mieszkalnych z łatwością doda ponad 4000 osób. Nowi konstruktorzy robią coś innego. W rzeczywistości stawiają ulice przed ukończeniem budowy. To może wydawać się normalne w USA, ale nie w Polsce. Mamy inne kompleksy mieszkalne zbudowane 5 lat temu, a niektóre nadal nie mają prawdziwych ulic, tylko polną drogę. Osobiście nie jestem kupującym, ale lubię kupować ubrania dla Joan. Wózek inwalidzki znacznie ułatwia zwiedzanie kilku sklepów, zanim się zdecydujemy.

Ostatniej nocy był to kremowy kurczak czosnkowy z sałatką. Joan pomogła, ale siedziała na wózku inwalidzkim. Kiedy gotuję i muszę czekać, aż coś się skończy, myję wszystko, czego używałem, na przykład miskę lub mały garnek. Płukałem miskę, kiedy odpływ zlewu był zatkany i woda nie spływała. Próbowałem wszystkiego, aby go odłączyć. W końcu poszedłem do sklepu Chata Polska i kupiłem butelkę Kreta. To środek do czyszczenia rur w formie granulatu. Wlałem 1/4 butelki do odpływu, czekałem i nic się nie stało. Wybrałem ekstremalną trasę i nalałem do niej całą butelkę. Były dźwięki, które wydaje ci się w żołądku, kiedy jesteś głodny, ale nadal bez postanowienia. Myśląc, że jutro będę musiał wezwać hydraulika, usiadłem obok Joan. Kiedy narzekanie Kreta się skończyło, wróciłem do kuchni i, Wallah, woda ze zlewu zniknęła. Byłem szczęśliwy. Skończyłem robić obiad, położyłem stół na balkonie i podałem Joan jej obiad. Powiedziała mi 4 razy, jak było dobrze. :-)

Tienen una oferta de ropa de verano y quería comprarle a Joan algunas camisetas sin mangas nuevas antes de que se fueran. Tenemos otros complejos de apartamentos construidos hace 5 años y algunos todavía no tienen calles reales, solo un camino de tierra. Para mí, no soy un comprador, pero me gusta comprar ropa para Joan. La silla de ruedas hace que sea mucho más fácil visitar varias tiendas antes de decidirnos.

Anoche fue pollo cremoso al ajo con ensalada. Joan ayudó, pero sentada en su silla de ruedas. Cuando estoy cocinando y tengo que esperar a que se haga algo, lavo todo lo que he usado, como un cuenco o una olla pequeña. Estaba enjuagando un recipiente cuando el desagüe del fregadero se taponó y el agua no bajaba. Intenté todo para desconectarlo. Finalmente, fui a la tienda, Chata Polska, y compré una botella de Kret. Es un limpiador de desagües en forma granular. Vertí 1/4 de la botella en el desagüe, esperé y no pasó nada. Tomé la ruta extrema y vertí toda la botella. Hubo sonidos como los que hace tu estómago cuando tienes hambre, pero aún así, sin resolución. Pensando que iba a tener que llamar a un plomero mañana, me senté junto a Joan. Cuando terminaron las quejas de los Kret, volví a la cocina y, Wallah, el agua del fregadero se había acabado. Yo era feliz. Terminé de preparar la cena, puse la mesa en el balcón y le serví la cena a Joan. Me dijo 4 veces lo bueno que era. :-)
