Breakfast & Ukraine

A nice breakfast of scrambled eggs, kabanosa, tomatoes, ham, good bread, and butter at Radeks this morning. He canceled his trip to the U.S.. because of the high prices of tickets and gas. Maybe, next year. Like us, he would like to live 6 months in Spain and 6 in Poland. That would be ideal.

LVIV, Ukraine/KYIV, March 15 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden will travel to Europe for an extraordinary NATO summit on Ukraine next week as the refugee tally from the invasion hit 3 million and Russian airstrikes on Tuesday hit targets in Kyiv.

Just over 3 million have now fled Ukraine, according to the United Nations, with over 1.8 million arriving in neighboring Poland. Its prime minister and those of Slovenia and the Czech Republic were in Kyiv on Tuesday to show solidarity.

Solidarity-unity or agreement of feeling or action, especially among individuals with a common interest; mutual support within a group.

I am tired of hearing that word when it only means support but no action. Solidarity has not stopped the senseless killing in Ukraine, not stopped the millions from fleeing their homeland, not stopped the psychological damage being done to children of this war, and not stopped the evil that is Putin.  This "solidarity" has no effect on Putin, nor will it stop him.
