Ada came today to give me time to do what I needed outside of the flat.
I had to take the new prescriptions to the GP for him to rewrite them as an NFZ doctor reducing the cost or possibly getting them for free/
After that, I went to the local Carrefour to buy coconut flakes but found none. In front of the cashiers was a large table with two men accepting food donations for Uranian immigrants coming into Poland. This country is doing an incredible job trying to help the immigrants with food, housing, clothing, and transportation
Offering a little help, I purchased 100 PLN of food, toothbrushes, toothpaste, tissues, and a little candy for children. I was happy to donate it to them.
Dzisiaj przyszła Ada przyszł, żeby dać mi czas na zrobienie tego, co potrzebne poza mieszkaniem.
Musiałem zanieść nowe recepty do lekarza pierwszego kontaktu, żeby przepisał je na NFZ, co zmniejszy koszty lub ewentualnie pozwoliło dostać je za darmo.
Następnie poszedłem do miejscowego Carrefour, aby kupić płatki kokosowe, ale ich nie znalazłem. Przed kasami stał duży stół, przy którym dwóch mężczyzn przyjmowało dary żywnościowe dla imigrantów z Ukrainy przybywających do Polski. Ten kraj wykonuje niesamowitą pracę, starając się pomóc imigrantom w zapewnieniu im żywności, mieszkania, odzieży i transportu.
Oferując niewielką pomoc, kupiłem za 100 zł żywność, szczoteczki i pastę do zębów, chusteczki higieniczne i trochę słodyczy dla dzieci. Cieszę się, że mogłem im to podarować.

Tuve que llevar las nuevas recetas a mi médico de cabecera para que me las recetara el Servicio Nacional de Salud, lo que reduciría el coste o posiblemente me permitiría obtenerlas de forma gratuita.
Luego fui al Carrefour local para comprar copos de coco pero no los encontré. Frente a las cajas había una gran mesa en la que dos hombres aceptaban donaciones de alimentos para los inmigrantes ucranianos que llegaban a Polonia. Este país hace un trabajo increíble al intentar ayudar a los inmigrantes con comida, vivienda, ropa y transporte.
Ofreciendo un poco de ayuda, compré comida por valor de 100 PLN, cepillos y pasta de dientes, pañuelos y algunos dulces para los niños. Me alegro de haber podido dárselos.

ReplyDeleteAnd,sweet headline photo of the Ukrainian children-- I only wish you didn't have to post it (i.e. that instead, they were safely sleeping in their own homes and beds back in the Ukraine)....Sad situation to have suddenly befallen them.
And I still cannot help wondering what has befallen all those hundreds-- if not thousands of Syrian (& other Mid-eastern & African) migrants who had been trapped between Polish & Belarussian borders on the forest in the dead of Winter for past many months. I can't seem to find any CURRENT news about THEIR fate-- seems like a news blackout on them. Have you, David, or anyone else on this blog heard news of them-- i.e. where they are/ended up? Hopefully, not still in 'No mans land' in the forest wilderness)....
