Boring day.

 Joan and I watched a few videos by Geoffrey Baer about different parts of Chicago. We just realized we had missed so many interesting places in that city when we lived nearby. It's a great city to visit.

About an hour after that, we went to Carrefour to buy some much-needed new socks. She has plenty of socks but they don't fit like they used to. We found 3 pairs that she liked and I bought them, which cost 30 PLN($7)

The weather has not changed, still cold, but Joan wanted out of the flat. Sometimes she has "cabin fever" and just needs a change of scenery.

Our young cousin Preston Saia is off to a good start at Merrillville High School.

One new wrinkle is 6-foot-7 senior Preston Saia, who spent the last two years at Bosco Institute. Patton believes Saia is the best shooter Merrillville’s had since 2017 graduate Jonah Jackson, who went on to play at Drake.

“I think Preston’s maybe even a little better shooter than Jonah,” Patton said. “His size, he can get a shot off whenever he wants. He’s a great teammate. We’re happy to have him.”

Joan i ja obejrzeliśmy kilka filmów Geoffreya Baera o różnych częściach Chicago. Właśnie zdaliśmy sobie sprawę, że przegapiliśmy tak wiele interesujących miejsc w tym mieście, kiedy mieszkaliśmy w pobliżu. To wspaniałe miasto do odwiedzenia.

Jakąś godzinę później poszliśmy do Carrefoura, by kupić nowe, bardzo potrzebne skarpetki. Ma mnóstwo skarpetek, ale nie pasują już tak jak kiedyś. Znaleźliśmy 3 pary, które jej się podobały i kupiłem je, co kosztowało 30 PLN (7 USD)

Pogoda się nie zmieniła, nadal jest zimno, ale Joan chciała wyjść z mieszkania. Czasami ma "gorączkę domową" i po prostu potrzebuje zmiany scenerii.

Nasz młody kuzyn Preston Saia ma za sobą dobry start w Merrillville High School.

Jednym z nowych graczy jest mierzący 6 stóp i 7 cm senior Preston Saia, który ostatnie dwa lata spędził w Bosco Institute. Trener Bo Patton uważa, że Saia jest najlepszym strzelcem Merrillville od czasu ukończenia szkoły w 2017 roku przez Jonaha Jacksona, który grał w Drake.

"Myślę, że Preston jest może nawet trochę lepszym strzelcem niż Jonah" - powiedział Patton. "Dzięki swoim rozmiarom może oddać strzał, kiedy tylko chce. Jest świetnym kolegą z drużyny. Cieszymy się, że go mamy".
