2 problems.

About 3 more inches of snow last night necessitated another shoveling episode this morning.  However, the plastic handle on the shovel broke while I was working so it took a little longer to do.  How dumb to make snow shovels with plastic handles!!  Even the blade is plastic so there's not much longevity in the shovel.  It would be nice to be able to find a store that sells "real" snow shovels with wooden handles and metal blade.  Well, it's not the end of the world and I'll get through it so it's really no big thing, just irritating.

My other problem is one I've been trying to overcome for some time now, using Family Tree Maker for my genealogy work.  When I first started using it in 2001 it was no problem to produce a wall chart that showed all family members, put it on a CD and then have it printed.  The last time I could do that was in 2006 and then FTM decided to change that part of it's software to limit the length of the chart.  Previously it could be assembled with family lines running both horizontally and vertically.  That was great and it's looks good on my wall.  Since 2006 you can only run family lines vertically and when they reach a designated length the rest gets cut off.  I searched the internet today and found what I thought was a solution.  Put the 2006 program back on my computer, import the latest file, create the chart and export it to PDF.  The problem is that now it is not compatabile with Windows 7, 64 bit systems so while you can make the chart you can't export it to PDF.  The solution I found from FTM was to update FTM 2006 with their "fix" for the problem but it only works on 32 bit systems so there is no solution yet.  So, I can see the updated chart on my computer but I can't save it and get it printed.  I wrote to FTM about this problem and am waiting for any answer.  I want that new chart on the wall to replace the old one cause many more relatives have been added since 2005.

Cóż, to nie koniec świata i będę miał przez to tak jest naprawdę, to nic, tylko irytujące.

Kiedy po raz pierwszy zaczął używać go w 2001 r. nie było żadnego problemu do przygotowania wykresu ściany które wykazały, że wszyscy członkowie rodziny, umieścić go na płycie CD, a następnie będzie wydrukowana. Ostatni raz mogłem zrobić, było w 2006 r., a następnie FTM zdecydował się na zmianę, że część oprogramowania w celu ograniczenia długości wykresu. Wcześniej może to być połączone z linii rodziny zarządzającej w pionie i poziomie. To był wielki i wygląda dobrze na mojej ścianie. Od roku 2006 można uruchamiać tylko linii rodziny w pionie i po osiągnięciu wskazanej długości reszta zostaje odcięte. Szukałem w internecie i dziś znaleźć to, co uważałem rozwiązania. Umieść programu na 2006 r. z powrotem na moim komputerze, import z najnowszego pliku, utwórz wykres i eksportować do formatu PDF. Problem polega na tym, że teraz nie jest compatabile z Windows 7, systemów 64-bitowych, podczas gdy tak można zrobić wykres nie można wyeksportować do pliku PDF.
