Dare I?

Dare I mention the 2 insanities of the last 4 days. The first being the President of the United States choosing to be absent from the climate change meeting of the G7 and the second, the President of Brazil refusing 22 million dollars in helping to fight the fires in the Amazon forest. Both of these two should be locked away in mental institutions. But enough about lunatics of the world.

Radek and I had our usual meeting today. He leaves next week on Thursday for another Tango experience and then in October a visit to the U.S. We spent the usual first hour speaking in English and then switched to Spanish, this time discussing the use of conditionals in the Spanish language. It will take a little time to get used to this.

For dinner tonight Joan is preparing chicken chorizo and basmati rice.  The temperature outside is high, 33C, so we have the kitchen window open to feel the breeze now that the sun is on the other side of the building. This warm weather is forecasted to stay with us for one week.

Our friend, Małgorzata, gave Joan a bottle of pumpkin seed oil that she uses to make salad dressings. She says the taste is very unique and she likes it very much. She combines the oil with French mustard and honey. Joan will try it.

Odważę się wspomnieć o 2 szaleństwach z ostatnich 4 dni. Dzisiaj miało miejsce nasze zwykłe spotkanie z Radkiem. W przyszły tygodniu w czwartek wyjeżdża na kolejną przygodę z tango, a następnie w październiku odwiedzi USA. Pierwszą godzinę spędziliśmy jak zwykle rozmawiając po angielsku, a następnie przestawiliśmy się na hiszpański, tym razem omawiając stosowanie zdań warunkowych w języku hiszpańskim. Przyzwyczajenie się do tego zajmie trochę czasu.

Na dzisiejszą kolację Joan przygotowuje chorizo z kurczaka i ryż basmati. Temperatura na zewnątrz jest wysoka, 33 ° C, więc mamy otwarte okno kuchenne, aby poczuć wietrzyk, gdy słońce znajduje się po drugiej stronie budynku. Prognozuje się, że ta ciepła pogoda pozostanie z nami przez tydzień.

Nasza przyjaciółka, Małgorzata, dała Joan butelkę oleju z pestek dyni, którego używa do robienia sosów sałatkowych. Mówi, że smak jest bardzo wyjątkowy i bardzo go lubi. Łączy olej z musztardą francuską i miodem. Joan spróbuje.
