Anumusic

 Music has always been an integral part of my life. I love playing it, being part of it, and later, being educated about the classical side of it. I tried seeing as many musicians play "live" as possible. Music is my sanctuary.

Our grandchildren both play various different instruments and of course, are from a different generation. Last night, our granddaughter Nicole introduced her mother to a different kind of music, animated music.

Today, her mother, Joan's daughter Karen, passed that information on to us. I am TOTALLY amazed at what I saw and heard. Fortunately, it was all recorded on YouTube so we were able to spend part of this morning viewing the videos. It really is incredible. It is all animated and no human band or group is involved in them.

Animusic, LLC is a dormant animation company specializing in the 3D visualization of MIDI-based music. Founded by Wayne Lytle, it is currently a registered limited liability company in New York and had offices in Texas and California during its active stages. The initial name of the company was Visual Music but was changed to Animusic in 1995.

Unlike many other music visualizations, Animusic uses MIDI information to drive the animation, while other software programs, such as Blender, animate figures or characters to the music. Any animated models in Animusic are created first and are then programmed to follow what the music, or MIDI information, instructs them to do.
