1948 Plymouth Coupe

I had a nice meeting today with someone who just came back from a three week vacation in Cuba and took lots of pictures, brought back Cuban cigars and coffee and had the time to share part of his adventure with me.  He said in most places it looked like it did just after Castro took over and few changes or renovations had been made since that time years ago.  He was impressed with the architecture of old houses and buildings even through most were in a state of disrepair.  I was amazed at the old cars! Chevys, Fords, Chryslers, Dodges, Plymouths all in great shape on the outside though many had different engines in them now since they stretched back to the 1940's and 50's.  It was like looking at in a car museum.  He said the people were very friendly, the food excellent and the beaches were beautiful.  He stayed in Havana for a few days and then rented a car to explore more of the island and it's more remote places where he found deserted beaches.  He wants to go back next year for two months during the winter here.  The temperature there was 35c.  Here it was -5 and below while he was gone.

Miałem miłe spotkanie dzisiaj z kimś, kto właśnie wrócił z wakacji trzy tygodnie na Kubie i trwało wiele zdjęć, sprowadzony kubańskich cygar oraz kawy i miał czas na część akcji swojej przygody ze mną. Powiedział, że w większości miejsc, wyglądało na to, nie tylko po Castro przejął i kilka zmian lub renowacji zostały dokonane od tego roku czas temu. Był pod wrażeniem architektury starych domów i budynków nawet przez większość z nich była w stanie ruinę. Byłem zdumiony, na starych samochodów! Chevy, Ford, Chryslery, uników, Plymouths wszystko w świetnej formie na zewnątrz choć wiele było różnych silników w nich teraz, gdyż sięgał 1940 roku i 50-tych. To było jak patrząc w muzeum samochodów. Powiedział, że ludzie byli bardzo przyjaźni, doskonałe jedzenie i plaże były piękne. Przebywał w Hawanie, na kilka dni, a następnie wynająć samochód, aby poznać więcej wyspy i to bardziej odległych miejsc, gdzie znalazł puste plaże. On chce wrócić w przyszłym roku na dwa miesiące w okresie zimowym tutaj. temperatura była 35c. Tu było -5 i poniżej, podczas gdy go nie było.
