Go Duke!!

Fortunately last night we were able to sit and watch our favorite team win the first game on the road to the championship.  They played in the early afternoon in the U.S. so for us it was 8:30PM.

I read last night that the promotional film about the city of Poznań won an award at the prestigious Golden Gate festival in Berlin, organized during the largest trade fair for the tourism industry in the world. Filmed last year, the spot took second place in the City Tourism category.

Another piece of good news is that already in April, the residents of Poznań and tourists will be able to enjoy coffee in the fresh air. Pursuant to a Decree of the President of Poznań, the pavement food courts in the Old Market can start operating from April 1st.  That's earlier than it has been in the last four years since we've lived here and still a little chilly but you never know about the weather.  We've always waited patiently for the opening of the outside cafes.

The Zamek(castle) in Poznań will be hosting a new exhibition of old prints and drawings from the collection of Museum of Rev. J. Jarzębowski from Licheń Stary. The works, which were created by Rembrandt himself, will definitely be one of the biggest attractions. Also being shown are works of Jan Matejko. This will be the frst major exhibition of this unique and little-known collection, which, together with several thousands of valuable Polish materials. It was returned to the Poland from Great Britain in 2007.

Na szczęście w nocy byliśmy w stanie siedzieć i oglądać nasz ulubiony zespół wygra pierwszy mecz na drodze do mistrzostwa. Grali we wczesnych godzinach popołudniowych w USA więc dla nas to było 20:30.


Czytałem wczoraj w nocy, że film promocyjny o mieście Poznań zdobył nagrodę na prestiżowym festiwalu Golden Gate w Berlinie, zorganizowanej podczas największych targów w branży turystycznej na świecie. Nakręcony w ubiegłym roku, w miejscu, zajął drugie miejsce w kategorii Turystyka City.

Kolejna dobra wiadomość jest taka, że ​​już w kwietniu, mieszkańcy Poznania i turyści będą mogli wypić kawę na świeżym powietrzu. Zgodnie z dekretem prezydenta Poznania, sądy żywności bruk na Starym Rynku może rozpocząć działalność od 1 kwietnia. To wcześniej niż miało to miejsce w ciągu ostatnich czterech lat od kiedy mieszkam tu i jeszcze trochę chłodno ale nigdy nie wiadomo na temat pogody.
