Good movie.

On a recommendation, we watched an amazing story of a super-model from Somalia, Waris Dirie. Coming from a small village, her life's journey was both terrible and miraculous. Born in 1966, she is still alive and, to my surprise, I found out she lives in Gdańsk, Poland since 2009. If you can find the movie, it is worth watching. Her story was so moving about her experience in Somalia, she became a special envoy to the U.N.

I met with Radek earlier and he told me about his latest adventure with Tango, this time in Warsaw. It was his 4th-weekend event of Tango. There were about 200 people in attendance from different countries including several couples from Argentina. Radek said they were fantastic in the way they danced the Tango, their technique was superb. Many who attended were teachers but also those who weren't. He said there were workshops in the morning and dance sessions in the afternoon and evening. The evening ones lasted until 4 or 5 in the morning.

Obejrzeliśmy rekomendowaną niesamowitą historię super-modelki z Somalii, Waris Dirie. Podróż życia, pochodzącej z małej wioski kobiety, była zarówno straszna, jak i cudowna. Urodzona w 1966 roku, wciąż żyje i, jak się ku mojemu zaskoczeniu dowiedziałem, od 2009 roku mieszka w Polsce, w Gdańsku. Jeśli można znaleźć film, warto go obejrzeć. Jej historia była tak poruszająca, że Waris Dirie stała się specjalnym wysłannikiem do ONZ.

Wcześniej spotkałem się z Radkiem, który opowiedział mi o swojej ostatniej przygodzie z tangiem, tym razem w Warszawie. Było to jego 4. weekendowe wydarzenie. Uczestniczyło w nim około 200 osób z różnych krajów, w tym kilka par z Argentyny. Radek powiedział, że byli fantastyczni w stylu tańczenia tanga, ich technika była znakomita. Wielu z nich było nauczycielami, ale byli tacy, którzy nie byli. Powiedział, że warsztaty były rano , a sesje taneczne po południu i wieczorem. Sesje wieczorne trwały do 4 lub 5 rano.
