Long Sleep.

After a long day yesterday, 6AM to 1AM, I slept for 12 hours last night. I can't remember the last time I slept so long. 

We had a late breakfast and then I helped Joan take a shower. 

After a two-month absence, I finally reconnected with my friend, Carmelo, from Spain. It was good to be able to talk with him in Spanish. Comparing weather, he said it was 22C and sunny and I told him here it was 3C and totally gray. He asked the usual question, "Why are you still living there?" I laughed and didn't reply.

Joan had a nice conversation with her daughter who is going through a rough time. For the last two months, she has had a rash that just keeps growing over her body. She has been to 5 different types of doctors and none of them had the answer. Now, she is going to a Tropic disease doctor to see if it is a problem from somewhere else. However, she has never been to the tropics.

Po wczorajszym długim dniu, od 6 rano do 1 w nocy, spałam 12 godzin. Nie pamiętam, kiedy ostatnio spałem tak długo. 

Zjedliśmy późne śniadanie, a potem pomogłem Joannie wziąć prysznic. 

Po dwumiesięcznej nieobecności, w końcu ponownie połączyłem się z moim przyjacielem, Carmelo, z Hiszpanii. Dobrze było móc rozmawiać z nim po hiszpańsku. Porównując pogodę, on powiedział, że jest 22C i słonecznie, a ja mu powiedziałem, że tutaj jest 3C i zupełnie szaro. Zadał zwyczajowe pytanie: "Dlaczego wciąż tam mieszkasz?". Roześmiałam się i nie odpowiedziałam.

Joan miło rozmawiała z córką, która przechodzi trudny okres. Przez ostatnie dwa miesiące miała wysypkę, która ciągle się powiększała na jej ciele. Była u 5 różnych lekarzy i żaden z nich nie znał odpowiedzi. Teraz wybiera się do lekarza zajmującego się chorobami tropikalnymi, aby sprawdzić, czy nie jest to problem pochodzący z innego miejsca. Jednak ona nigdy nie była w tropikach.

Después de un largo día ayer, de 6AM a 1AM, anoche dormí 12 horas. No recuerdo la última vez que dormí tanto tiempo. 

Desayunamos tarde y luego ayudé a Joan a ducharse. 

Después de una ausencia de dos meses, finalmente me reconecté con mi amigo, Carmelo, de España. Estuvo bien poder hablar con él en español. Comparando el tiempo, me dijo que hacía 22C y estaba soleado y yo le dije que aquí hacía 3C y estaba totalmente gris. Me hizo la pregunta de siempre: "¿Por qué sigues viviendo allí?". Me reí y no contesté.

Joan tuvo una agradable conversación con su hija, que está pasando por un mal momento. Desde hace dos meses tiene un sarpullido que no para de crecer en su cuerpo. Ha ido a 5 tipos diferentes de médicos y ninguno de ellos tenía la respuesta. Ahora, va a ir a un médico de enfermedades tropicales para ver si es un problema de otra parte. Sin embargo, nunca ha estado en los trópicos.
