Interesting day.

 Another surprising day. I wanted to get some cash from the ATM machine but it kept denying the withdrawal. I tried several times.

So, I went to keep our appointment at the consulate at 10:30. I pulled into the entrance, and asked the security guard to permit me into the underground parking to use the elevator with Joan. He told me there was another entrance to the parking around the corner. For 15 years I have been going to that Consulate but never knew about the underground parking. 

Talking with the consul, Mrs. Dzuba, she told us she handed in her resignation this past February and was still waiting for them to find a replacement. She has worked 47 years for the U.S. Government. We are sad to see her leave as we had a very good relationship with her. Strangely, we used our same credit card to pay and it worked.

At home, I tried to buy our plane tickets to Spain but again the card was rejected. We will have to go to Citihandlowy tomorrow to see what is wrong with the card.

Kolejny zaskakujący dzień. Chciałem pobrać trochę gotówki z bankomatu, ale ciągle odmawiał wypłaty. Próbowałem kilka razy.

Pojechałem więc na umówione spotkanie w konsulacie o 10:30. Wjechałem do środka i poprosiłem ochroniarza o pozwolenie na wjazd do podziemnego parkingu, aby móc skorzystać z windy z Joan. Powiedział mi, że za rogiem jest inne wejście na parking. Od 15 lat chodzę do tego Konsulatu, ale nigdy nie wiedziałem o podziemnym parkingu. 

Rozmawiając z konsulem, panią Dzubą, powiedziała nam, że złożyła rezygnację w lutym tego roku i wciąż czekała, aż znajdą zastępstwo. Pracowała 47 lat dla rządu USA. Jesteśmy smutni widząc jej odejście, ponieważ mieliśmy z nią bardzo dobre relacje. Dziwnie, użyliśmy naszej tej samej karty kredytowej by zapłacić i to pracowało.

W domu próbowałem kupić nasze bilety lotnicze do Hiszpanii, ale znowu karta została odrzucona. Jutro będziemy musieli pójść do Citihandlowego, żeby sprawdzić, co jest nie tak z kartą.
