The plan for the day was to wait for the installation of our new oven. I received a text it would be between 16:30 and 20:00(8 PM). At about 15:30 the man called to say he would be here in 30 minutes.
They arrived with the new oven, took out the old one, and started the installation. That was as far as they got when they discovered it would not slide all the way into the cabinet. The new one has the same dimensions but the design of the main part now is different. Behind the old one was a little white box holding all the connecting wires and it fits on top of the oven. The new one does not have a space for it so it won't go all the way in. The only way it will fit is to cut an opening on the shelf holding up the oven and putting the box down in it.
They said they could not do that, they were only there to set up the oven once it was installed. I called the owner, and let her talk to the servicemen. She told me they would take the old one with them and she will come Monday with someone to make the hole needed and set up the oven.
It was disappointing. I planned to have pizza for dinner and, instead, I had to make a tuna, avocado, tomato, and basmati rice salad for dinner. Such is life.
Plan na ten dzień był taki, żeby poczekać na montaż naszego nowego piekarnika. Otrzymałem tekst, że będzie to między 16:30 a 20:00(8 PM). Około 15:30 mężczyzna zadzwonił, że będzie za 30 minut.
Przyjechali z nowym piekarnikiem, wyjęli stary i zaczęli instalację. To było tak daleko, jak się dostali, kiedy odkryli, że nie można go wsunąć do końca do szafki. Nowy ma takie same wymiary, ale konstrukcja głównej części jest inna. Za starym było małe białe pudełko trzymające wszystkie przewody łączące i mieściło się na górze piekarnika. Nowy nie ma miejsca na to, więc nie wejdzie do końca. Jedyny sposób, w jaki będzie pasował, to wycięcie otworu na półce podtrzymującej piekarnik i umieszczenie w nim pudełka.
Powiedzieli, że nie mogą tego zrobić, byli tam tylko po to, aby ustawić piekarnik po jego zainstalowaniu. Zadzwoniłem do właścicielki i pozwoliłem jej porozmawiać z serwisantami. Powiedziała mi, że wezmą stary z nimi, a ona przyjdzie w poniedziałek z kimś, kto zrobi potrzebną dziurę i ustawi piekarnik.
To było rozczarowujące. Planowałem zjeść pizzę na obiad, a zamiast tego musiałem zrobić na kolację sałatkę z tuńczyka, awokado, pomidora i ryżu basmati. Takie jest życie.
