London visit 1

A big day in London today.  We took the train about 10AM and an hour later we were in London at Victoria Station.  From there walked to Buckingham Palace but only to see the outside because we didn't want to stand in line to get in.  It's a huge place with lots of people still hanging around after the royal wedding last week. In one of the pictures you can see they have not dismantled the green television booths yet.  There was a changing of the guard to be performed but instead we walked over to the Royal Armory and listened to the band play.  From there we headed to Westminster Abbey but the line was even longer to get in and we didn't wait. Evidently Princess Kate left her wedding bouquet at the tomb of the unknown soldier and people want to see that, we didn't.

Instead we walked to the Thames river to see the House of Parliament and we're also treated to a model being photographed. We crossed over the river and then took the river walk to look at some new architecture, old buildings and the Tower Bridge.

The weather has been absolutely wonderful since we arrived here.  Sunny, no rain and perfect for walking. Some of the new architecture is very nice and unusual, like the "Gerkin" and the Majors building and it's contrasted by very old architecture like at St. Michaels church.

Tomorrow we have plans to go and see Leeds Castle and that will probably take up most of the day.

Wielki dzień dziś w Londynie. Wzięliśmy pociągu o 10 rano i po godzinie byliśmy w Londynie na Victoria Station. Od thereee wszedł do Pałacu Buckingham, ale tylko by zobaczyć na zewnątrz, bo nie chcą stać w kolejce, aby dostać się do środka To wielki miejscu wiele osób nadal kręcił po królewskie wesele w zeszłym tygodniu. W jednym ze zdjęć widać że nie zlikwidował zielone budki telewizji jeszcze nie było. Nie było zmiany warty do wykonania, ale zamiast tego podszedł do Royal Armory i słuchał do gry zespołu. Stamtąd udaliśmy się do Westminster Abbey, ale linia była nawet już wejść i nie czekać. Widocznie Princess Kate zostawiła swój bukiet ślubny na grobie nieznanego żołnierza i ludzie chcą widzieć, że nie.

Zamiast tego podszedł do rzeki Tamizy, aby zobaczyć budynek parlamentu, a my także traktowana jako model do sfotografowania. Przejeżdżamy przez rzekę, a następnie wziął River Walk patrzeć na nowe architektury, starych budynków i Tower Bridge.

Pogoda była absolutnie cudowny ponieważ przyjechaliśmy tutaj. Sunny, bez deszczu i idealne miejsce na spacery. Niektóre z nowej architektury jest bardzo miły i niezwykłe, podobnie jak "Gerkin"i budynku Majors i to kontrastuje z bardzo starej architektury, w St Michaels kościoła.

Jutro mamy plany, aby przejść i zobaczyć, Leeds Castle, i że prawdopodobnie będzie się większość dnia.
