Joan's surprise.

Even in the darkest time of my life there has to be some light somewhere. I tried to find a little today on Joan's birthday, for both of us. Maybe her grief is not as total as mine because he was my son but she knew him since he was 5 years old. She grew to love him so she feels the pain now like me.

I took her to Kobylniki Palace, north of where we live, about 45 minutes. It's a quiet place where we spent the night and had dinner in a nearby town.  The palace was catering to a Communion party so their dinner menu was limited, too limited for us. We drove 8 km to Goscińiec Sanguszko, a nice restaurant with fairly cheap prices for dinner. In the morning we had the breakfast buffet at the palace and then had a leisurely drive back home.

The afternoon and evening passed pleasantly but not without many moments of thinking about my son. In the early morning, I went for a walk around the palace and there were heavy, dark clouds but one cloud above them all was white with sunlight. I thought that must be Eric, free from all the trials and tribulations of the world below him. It made me a little happy.

Pokochała go, więc czuje teraz ból podobny do mojego.

Rano w pałacu mieliśmy śniadanie w formie bufetu, a następnie pojechaliśmy do domu.

Popołudnie i wieczór upłynęły przyjemnie, wielokrotnie myślałem o moim synu. To mnie trochę uszczęśliwiło.

  1. Dear Joan,
Belated birthday wishes. I am glad David managed to celebrate with you, despite the hard climate in the loss of his son-- for both of you.

David, I am sure what you experience was a 'heavenly messge', because I have been
experiencing messages to clear to explain away as 'coincidence' (which I don't believe in anyway) or 'just imagination' (these are the explanations of the cynical, the close-minded or the fearful). Life goes on...both on Earth, and in
other realms...and we're all headed there some day ("just because a blind person cannot see the sun, does not mean it doesn't exist; as it does, and shines on all!"
