Lovely Day

A lovely day today for another walk around and see the beauty of this world we were given. I am so tired of hearing, watching, seeing about death and destruction on those rare occasions when the TV comes on before I can switch to an external drive to watch something educational. I find a lot on YouTube that I put on external drives to view on the big screen. I particularly like the TedTalks programs and, of course, Español com Juan. He speaks at a higher level than I am ready for but still, I do get some things out of it. Besides that, he is very funny in the way he expresses himself.

Today Joan and I started studying today as teacher/student from the Easy Spanish book we both have. We used it in Spain but went through it so fast I knew there was a lot Joan didn't comprehend so we are going over it all again and I, I hope, can explain it to her slowly so this time it will sink in. She was satisfied with this first session so I was too. I just want to get her to the place where she is a little comfortable speaking easy Spanish sentences.

Piękny dzień na kolejny spacer by widzieć piękno tego świata, który został nam dany. Jestem tak zmęczony słuchaniem, oglądaniem, patrzeniem na śmierć i zniszczenie w tych rzadkich momentach, kiedy telewizor zostaje włączony i zanim mogę przełączyć się na zewnętrzny dysk, by obejrzeć coś edukacyjnego. Dużo znajduję na YouTube, który umieszczam na dyskach zewnętrznych, aby oglądać na dużym ekranie. Szczególnie podobają mi się programy TedTalks i oczywiście Español com Juan. On mówi na wyższym poziomie, niż jestem przygotowany, ale nadal czerpię z tego kilka rzeczy. Poza tym jest bardzo zabawny w sposobie, w jaki się wyraża.

Dziś Joan i ja zaczęliśmy się uczyć  jako nauczyciel / uczeń z podręcznika z łatwiejszym hiszpańskim ,  który oboje mamy. Używaliśmy go w Hiszpanii, ale przeszliśmy przez niego tak szybko, że wiedziałem, że Joan wiele nie zrozumiała, więc znowu to wszystko omówimy i mam nadzieję, że wyjaśnię  jej to powoli i tym razem zrozumie. Była zadowolona z tej pierwszej sesji, więc ja też. Chcę tylko doprowadzić ją do miejsca, w którym czuje się trochę swobodniej wypowiadając proste zdania po hiszpańsku.

Un hermoso día para otro paseo para ver la belleza de este mundo que se nos ha dado. Estoy tan cansado de escuchar, mirar, mirar la muerte y la destrucción en esos raros momentos cuando el televisor está encendido y antes de que pueda cambiar a un disco externo para mirar algo educativo. Encuentro mucho en YouTube, que pongo en discos externos para ver en la pantalla grande. Me gustan especialmente los programas TedTalks y, por supuesto, el Español com Juan. Él habla a un nivel más alto de lo que yo estoy preparado, pero todavía obtengo algunas cosas. Además, él es muy divertido en la forma en que se expresa.

Hoy, Joan y yo empezamos a aprender como profesor / alumno de un manual con un español más fácil que los dos. Lo usamos en España, pero lo pasamos tan rápido que sabía que Joan no entendía mucho, así que lo discutiremos nuevamente y espero explicarlo lentamente y esta vez lo entenderé. Ella estaba feliz con esta primera sesión, por lo que yo también. Solo quiero llevarla a un lugar donde se sienta un poco más cómoda hablando una oración simple en español.
