Hot!

It seems like we have had a week already of above 30c temperatures and it is not officially summer yet. It is actually warmer here than where we stayed in Spain by 2c. If it stays on this course we may have to go to Siberia for August.

I met earlier with a young person who was selected for a project held in Warsaw. He is in his last year at Polyteknika Univeristy studying finance. There were 200 applicants from all over Poland and 30 were selected. He goes July 1st for 2 weeks of training and then will have an internship in one of the financial institutes in Warsaw until university begins in October. I've known him for 6 years and it has been good to watch him grow into a young adult. Obviously,  he also speaks English and I enjoy talking with him.

When I came back home Joan and I studied a little, watched the final episode of The Americans and then she prepared dinner, California Spaghetti Salad. Great for a hot night.

Wygląda na to, że mieliśmy tydzień już powyżej 30 ° C i nie jest to jeszcze oficjalnie lato. W rzeczywistości jest tu cieplej niż w Hiszpanii, gdzie mieszkaliśmy 2c. Jeśli zostaniesz na tym kursie, musimy udać się na Syberię na sierpień.

Spotkałem się wcześniej z młodą osobą, która została wybrana do projektu w Warszawie. Jest na ostatnim roku studiów w Polyteknika Univeristy studiuje finanse. Zgłoszono 200 kandydatów z całej Polski, a 30 zostało wybranych. Odbywa 1 lipca na 2 tygodnie szkolenia, a następnie będzie odbywał staż w jednym z instytutów finansowych w Warszawie aż do rozpoczęcia uniwersytetu w październiku. Znam go od 6 lat i dobrze było patrzeć jak dorasta w młodym dorosłym. Oczywiście on również mówi po angielsku i lubię z nim rozmawiać.

Kiedy wróciłem do domu, Joan i ja trochę się obejrzeliśmy, obejrzeliśmy ostatni odcinek The Americans, a potem przygotowała obiad, California Spaghetti Salad. Świetne na upalną noc.

Me reuní antes con una persona joven que fue seleccionada para un proyecto realizado en Varsovia. Está en su último año en la Universidad Polyteknika estudiando finanzas.
