New hospital

On Tuesday, the government entered the investment in a multi-annual investment plan.

The Central Integrated Clinical Hospital of the Medical University will be built on Grunwald. The first stage of the investment will be the construction of the Hospital Emergency Department and the Center for Emergency and Intervention Medicine. Next to be created, among others, an airstrip for the Air Ambulance machines.

Already last July, Deputy Minister of Health Janusz Cieszyński and hospital director Krystyna Mackiewicz signed an agreement under which the government will transfer several million zlotys to the investment.

The value of the investment, covering the construction of the entire complex, is almost PLN 600 ($159)million. The state budget will allocate as much as PLN 520 million for this purpose. All works are to be completed in 2025. Ultimately, the facility will take over the functions of two clinical hospitals operating today in old, damaged buildings (Długa and Grunwaldzka streets). Further expansion of the complex will be possible.

We wtorek rząd wprowadził tę inwestycję do wieloletniego planu inwestycyjnego.

Na Grunwaldzie powstanie Centralny Zintegrowany Szpital Kliniczny Uniwersytetu Medycznego. Pierwszym etapem inwestycji będzie budowa Szpitalnego Oddziału Ratunkowego oraz Centrum Medycyny Ratunkowej i Interwencyjnej. Następnie powstanie m.in. lądowisko dla maszyn Air Ambulance.

Już w lipcu ubiegłego roku wiceminister zdrowia Janusz Cieszyński i dyrektor szpitala Krystyna Mackiewicz podpisali umowę, na mocy której rząd przekaże na inwestycję kilka milionów złotych.

We wtorek rząd wpisał inwestycję do wieloletniego planu inwestycyjnego. Wartość inwestycji, obejmującej budowę całego kompleksu, wynosi prawie 600 mln zł. Budżet państwa przeznaczy na ten cel aż 520 mln zł. Wszystkie prace mają zostać zakończone w 2025 roku. Docelowo obiekt przejmie funkcje dwóch szpitali klinicznych funkcjonujących dziś w starych, zniszczonych budynkach (ul. Długa i Grunwaldzka). Możliwa będzie dalsza rozbudowa kompleksu.
