Pictures

Sunday was to be a day of rest but it didn't turn out that way. After giving her breakfast she seemed sad to me. After asking her several times what was wrong, she told me she was having trouble remembering and she was worried about it. It was the first time she has told me that.

I tried telling her that it also happens to me and not to worry about it. That didn't seem to register with her. So, I decided to plug in my external drive and show her pictures of some of the places we have visited in the last fifteen years to help her remember them. I did it for about 2 1/2 hours until she started to remember. There may be a better way to do this but it was all I could think of at the time.

I didn't want her to start going into a depression so I kept it up until she started smiling and eventually started remembering. Maybe she couldn't remember them just telling her about different places but like the saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words", it did work.

To by艂 pierwszy raz, kiedy mi to powiedzia艂a.

Pr贸bowa艂em jej powiedzie膰, 偶e to te偶 mi si臋 zdarza i 偶eby si臋 tym nie przejmowa艂a. To nie wydawa艂o si臋 rejestrowa膰 z ni膮. Wi臋c, zdecydowa艂em si臋 pod艂膮czy膰 m贸j dysk zewn臋trzny i pokaza膰 jej zdj臋cia niekt贸rych miejsc, kt贸re odwiedzili艣my w ci膮gu ostatnich pi臋tnastu lat, aby pom贸c jej je zapami臋ta膰. Robi艂em to przez oko艂o 2 1/2 godziny, a偶 zacz臋艂a sobie przypomina膰. Mo偶e by膰 lepszy spos贸b na zrobienie tego, ale to by艂o wszystko, o czym mog艂em wtedy pomy艣le膰.

Nie chcia艂em, 偶eby ona zacz臋艂a wchodzi膰 w depresj臋 tak utrzyma艂em to a偶 ona zacz臋艂a u艣miecha膰 si臋 i ostatecznie zacz臋艂a pami臋ta膰.
