Observation.

The last month I've made an interesting observation. Actually, I had it last year, just forgot about it. We live in an area that has more than a few women of the Muslim faith. The older ones always wear a head scarf in the traditional manner, not the hijab, just a head scarf with the face observable. However, their daughters don't seem to be required to wear them and dress like all the other young Spanish girls. I don't know if it's a sign of the times or the custom is just more relaxed in this area.

We did our weekly shopping and only spent 35 Euros(151PLN). After that I brought in the washing and folded the clothes.

Tmorrow we go to Alicante to meet our friend Mary coming from the U.S. Actually, she is in Dublin now because she flew Air Lingus and the first stop was Dublin. She had a 4 hour lay over there before she flew to Madrid. She will spend the night there and then drive to Alicante tomorrow to meet with us. We will have lunch there, then drive back down to Ribera..

W zeszłym miesiącu zrobiłem interesującą obserwację. Właściwie to miałem go w zeszłym roku, po prostu o tym zapomniałem. Żyjemy w rejonie, który ma więcej niż kilka kobiet w wierze muzułmańskiej. Starsi zawsze noszą chustę na głowę w tradycyjny sposób, nie hidżab, tylko chustkę na głowę z widoczną twarzą. Jednak ich córki nie wydają się wymagać noszenia ich i ubierania się jak wszystkie inne młode dziewczyny hiszpańskie. Nie wiem, czy to znak czasu, czy zwyczaj jest po prostu bardziej zrelaksowany w tej dziedzinie.

Zrobiliśmy cotygodniowe zakupy i wydaliśmy tylko 35 euro (151 PLN). Potem przyniosłem pranie i złożyłem ubrania.

Jutro jedziemy do Alicante, aby spotkać się z naszą przyjaciółką Marią, pochodzącą ze Stanów Zjednoczonych. W rzeczywistości jest teraz w Dublinie, ponieważ latała samolotem Air Lingus, a pierwszym przystankiem była Dublin. Przed wyjazdem do Madrytu miała 4-godzinną przerwę. Spędzi tam noc, a potem pojedzie do Alicante jutro, żeby się z nami spotkać. Zjemy tam lunch, a potem wrócimy do Ribera.
