Wax.

This morning it was off to the medical center 1 minute from our house. I waited 10 minutes in line, gave the receptionist Joan's ID and NFZ Blue Health card and told them what I needed. By 8:15 I had made an appointment for her to see a doctor about having her ears cleaned of wax. The appointment was for 9:45. Very efficient!

At 9:40 we went back to the center and at 9:45 the doctor called her in. She examined both ears and found wax in both. She prescribed a fluid to soften the wax and a return appointment on Friday when the nurse will wash out both ears. The total cost of everything...0. It is all covered by the mutual health insurance coverage for residents of the EU.

Last night we were able to watch the replay of the whole Super Bowl game. It was enjoyable to see the whole game and not just highlights. Joan wanted Kansas City to win but I didn't care who won. It was hilarious when "Orange Head" congratulated the Great State of Kansas for winning and the football team plays in Kansas City, Missouri. I don't think he even knows there are 2 Kansas City's and HE is the president. God help us!

Tonight Joan is making a new meal, Lemon Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Pasta. It sounds great. Now she is getting the menu together for next week's shopping to be done on Thursday. I'm sitting next to her on the couch with the door wide open to let in the fresh air. Outside the sun is reflecting off the white-painted houses, the little breeze that blows in every now and then is refreshing and clothes are in the washing machine just finishing up.

Dziś rano było wyjście do centrum medycznego, usytuowanego 1 minutę od naszego domu. Czekałem 10 minut w kolejce, dałem recepcjonistce legitymację Joan i kartę NFZ Blue Health i powiedziałem im, czego potrzebuję. Zanim minęła 8:15, umówiłem ją na wizytę u lekarza w sprawie oczyszczenia uszu z woskowiny. Umówiłem się na 9:45. Bardzo kompetentnie!

O 9:40 wróciliśmy do centrum, a o 9:45 wezwał ją lekarz. Zbadał uszy i w obu znalazł woskowinę. Przepisał płyn do zmiękczania woskowiny i umówił na wizytę powrotną w piątek, kiedy pielęgniarka wypłucze uszy. Całkowity koszt wszystkiego...0. Wszystko to jest objęte ubezpieczeniem zdrowotnym dla mieszkańców UE.

Ostatniej nocy mogliśmy obejrzeć powtórkę całego meczu Super Bowl. Miło było zobaczyć całą grę, a nie tylko jej najważniejsze momenty. Joan chciała, żeby Kansas City wygrało, ale mnie nie obchodziło, kto wygra. To było zabawne, kiedy "Orange Head" pogratulował Wielkiemu Stanowi Kansas zwycięstwa, a drużyna piłkarska gra w Kansas City ale w Missouri. On jest prezydentem i chyba nawet nie wie, że są 2 Kansas City. Boże, pomóż nam!

Dzisiaj wieczorem Joan robi nowe danie, makaron z krewetkami, czosnkiem cytryną i parmezanem. Brzmi wspaniale. Teraz komponuje menu na przyszły tydzień będące podstawą zakupów, które mają być zrobione w czwartek. Siedzę obok niej na kanapie, podczas gdy drzwi są szeroko otwarte, żeby wpuścić świeże powietrze. Na zewnątrz słońce odbija się od pomalowanych na biało domków, lekka bryza, która co chwilę wieje odświeża, ubrania są w pralce i pranie właśnie się kończy.
