They forget.

I look at FB every day. mainly to see if any cousin has posted a new family photo.  Scrolling, I couldn't help but notice that yesterday, December 7th, there was only 1 remembrance of Pearl Harbor. Reading the comment below it, it said the person didn't see ANY mention of it in newspapers in America.  I thought that was rather strange. WWII, Normandy, Vietnam, all have numerous posts on their days but Pearl Harbor is being forgotten. It is a disservice to all who died during that battle. It is not like that in Poland. It always remembers it's battles and wars, won or lost. It is sad that America forgets Pearl Harbor.

On the bright side, there is sun somewhere behind all the clouds making today a brighter day. 10c is the high for today so it is not cold nor is it raining.

Dealing with squirrels (Some Religious Perspectives)

 

The Presbyterian
church called a meeting to decide what to do about their squirrel
infestation.  After much prayer and consideration, they concluded
that the squirrels were predestined to be there, and they shouldn’t
interfere with God’s divine will.

 

At the Baptist
church the squirrels had taken an interest in the baptistery.  The
deacons met and decided to put a water-slide on the baptistery and let the
squirrels drown themselves.  The squirrels liked the slide and
unfortunately, knew instinctively how to swim, so twice as many squirrels
showed up the following week.

  

The Lutheran
church decided that they were not in a position to harm any of God’s
creatures.  So, they humanely trapped their squirrels and set them
free near the Baptist church.  Two weeks later the squirrels were
back when the Baptists took down the water-slide.

 

But the Catholic
church came up with a very creative strategy!  They baptized all the
squirrels and made them members of the church.  Now they only see
them at Christmas and Easter.

 

Not much was
heard from the Jewish synagogue.  They took the first squirrel and
circumcised him.  They haven’t seen a squirrel
since.

Sprawdzam FB codziennie. Głównie po to, by zobaczyć, czy któryś z kuzynów opublikował nową rodzinną fotografię. Przewijając wiadomości, nie mogłem nie zauważyć, że w wczoraj, 7 grudnia, pojawiło sie tylko 1 wspomnienie o Pearl Harbor. W komentarzu poniżej było napisane, że autor nie widzi żadnej wzmianki o ataku na Pearl Harbor w gazetach w Ameryce. Pomyślałem, że to raczej dziwne. O II Wojnie Światowej, Normandii, Wietnamie, pisze się dużo w dniach rocznic, ale Pearl Harbor jest zapomniane. Uwłacza to wszystkim, którzy zginęli w czasie tej bitwy. W Polsce pamięta się bitwy i wojny, wygrane lub przegrane. To smutne, że Ameryka zapomina o Pearl Harbor.

Patrząc z jaśniejszej strony, gdzieś za chmurami jest słońce. Dziś jest 10 stopni, ciepło jak na grudzień i nie pada.

Jak sobie poradzić z wiewiórkami (z punktu widzenia religii)

 

Prezbiterianie 
zwołali spotkanie by zdecydować, co zrobić z inwazją wiewiórek
Po wielu modlitwach i rozważaniach uznali, że wiewiórki są predestynowane by tam być,
a oni nie powinni ingerować w Boskie zamierzenia

Baptyści

W ich kościele wiewiórki zainteresowały się baptysterium. Diakoni spotkali się i postanowili umieścić zjeżdżalnię na baptysterium. Niech wiewiórki się potopią. Wiewiórki jednak lubiły zjeżdżalnię i instynktownie wiedziały, jak pływać, więc w następnym tygodniu pojawiło siędwa razy więcej wiewiórek

 .

Luteranie
uznali, że nie mogą zaszkodzić żadnemu z Bożych stworzeń.Więc, humanitarnie uwięzili swoje wiewiórki i uwolnili je w pobliżu kościoła baptystów. Dwa tygodnie później wiewiórki powróciły, gdy baptyści zabrali zjeżdżalnię.

Katolicy
wymyślili bardzo twórczą strategię! Ochrzcili wiewiórki i uczynili je członkami Kościoła.
Teraz wiewiórki pojawiają się w kościele tylko na Boże Narodzenie i w Wielkanoc.

Z synagogi nie ma zbyt wielu wiadomości.

Po tym jak wzięli pierwszą wiewiórkę i ja obrzezali, nikt tam nie widział więcej wiewiórek
