Another surprise!

I like surprise messages from cousin's. I had one yesterday from someone named Maggy and that confused me because I don't know anyone named Maggy. I asked how she knew me and she said we were family, that Joan and had visited her and her husband in Warsaw some years ago. It was then I realized who she was because we have visited only one relative in Warsaw.  She told me they no longer live in Warsaw but about 2 hours from Warsaw, close to her parents. The other surprise was that now she has a 2-year-old daughter and her sister a 2-month-old child also. She sent me pictures of the kids, her family, her sister, parents, and the house. It was a good way to start the day.

Kasia was here Yesterday at her usual 15:30 time, did some exercises with Joan and then worked on walking, Joan walked a short distance on her own with Kasia right behind her, just in case. The therapist feels that Thursday will be the time to start working on stairs. I'm not so sure about that but I will be right there also.

Today, Bartosz was here for therapy with Joan and when they were done I told him about having 2 therapists. He said he will call Kasia and coordinate their efforts to help Joan.

While he was doing the therapy, I took advantage of the hour and went for a walk around the neighborhood with my camera. There are many new homes built or being constructed and 2 with solar panels. I took pictures of flowers, new houses, and some interesting trees. The sun was out so it was a good day for picture taking. The temperature was about 68-70F so no coat was needed, just the mask and social distance but that was easy being a working day and many people back at work. I would love to be able to take Joan out for a walk today. However, showing her the pictures I took will have to do for now. Her arms and shoulders are much stronger but her legs still remain too weak.

Wtedy zdałem sobie sprawę, kim ona jest, bo odwiedziliśmy tylko jedną krewną w Warszawie. Powiedziała mi, że nie mieszkają już w Warszawie, ale około 2 godziny drogi od Warszawy, blisko jej rodziców. Inną niespodzianką było to, że teraz ma 2 letnią córkę, a jej siostra również 2-miesięczne dziecko. Przesłała mi zdjęcia dzieci, swojej rodziny, siostry, rodziców i domu. To był dobry sposób na rozpoczęcie dnia.

Kasia była wczoraj, jak zwykle o 15:30, trochę ćwiczyła z Joan, a potem pracowała nad chodzeniem, Joan chodziła sama, a Kasia tuż za nią, na wszelki wypadek. Terapeutka uważa, że czwartek będzie dobrym momentem, by rozpocząć ćwiczenia na schodach. Nie jestem tego taki pewien i pewnie będę miał rację.

Dzisiaj Bartosz przyszedł na terapię z Joan i kiedy skończyli, powiedziałam mu, że mam 2 terapeutów. Powiedział, że zadzwoni do Kasi i skoordynuje ich wysiłki, by pomóc Joan.
