What a day!

Today I learned that it was possible to get the zameldowanie over the internet without going to the office. However, in order to do the you need and electronic certificate which you apply for and get for free. I did that for Joan and I. Then I searched the internet for 2 hours for the website where I can get the zameldowanie...I couldn't find it anywhere. So, tomorrow we will go to the office.

At 10:30 I went to the train station to pickup our friend, Lila, but her train was delayed 30 minutes so we didn't meet until 12:15. We gave her 2 options: go to the rynek for lunch or come to our house for coffee and cake. She chose the latter. She liked our flat, the gallery of family pictures on the walls and the neighborhood. We sat and talked for two hours and then it was time to take her back to the train so she could go home to Bydgoszcz. It was a nice visit. We will have to make them more frequent than in the past.

At home Joan is preparing a nice fruit salad for dinner. We used to eat it often when we lived in the U.S. and we are returning to it now.

Dziś dowiedziałem się, że można zameldować się przez Internet bez przychodzenia  do biura. Jednak, aby zrobić to, potrzebujesz  certyfikat elektroniczny, o który się ubiegasz za darmo. Zrobiłem to dla Joan i mnie. Potem, przez 2 godziny, szukałem w Internecie strony, na której mogę zrobić zameldowanie ... Nie mogłem jej nigdzie znaleźć. A więc jutro pójdziemy do biura.

O 10:30 poszedłem na stację kolejową, aby odebrać naszą przyjaciółkę Lilę, ale jej pociąg był opóźniony o 30 minut, więc nie spotkaliśmy się aż do 12:15. Zaproponowaliśmy jej dwie opcje: iść na rynek na lunch lub pójść do domu na kawę i ciasto. Wybrała to drugie. Polubiła nasze mieszkanie, galerię zdjęć rodzinnych na ścianach i w sąsiedztwo domu. Siedzieliśmy i rozmawialiśmy przez dwie godziny, a potem nadszedł czas, aby zabrać ją z powrotem dworzec, aby mogła wrócić do domu do Bydgoszczy. To była miła wizyta. Będziemy musieli spowodować, by były częstsze niż w przyszłości.

W domu Joan przygotowuje na kolację ładną sałatkę owocową. Często je jadaliśmy , kiedy mieszkaliśmy w USA i teraz do nich wracamy.
