I asked her to do that so maybe it will stimulate her brain a little and remind her of things she had forgotten. I'm trying to find things that will make her think instead of movies or serials.

A little stream ran by the house I built in the forest. It was my main water supply year round. In winter I had to break the ice to get to the water. To get to the house, you had to cross the stream. In some places, you could jump over it but it really needed a bridge. I gave the job to my 10 year old son, Eric, to build the bridge. I cut down 2 small trees, stripped off the limbs and used them as the foundation. I gave Eric a bunch of pieces of wood, enough to cover the stream and showed him how to nail them in place, then I left him alone. I went back sometime later and there it was, our first bridge. He was so proud of "his" bridge. Eric worked hard the whole summer with me building the house. It created memories he never forgot. I so grateful we had that time together. I miss hm.

Aby dostać się do domu, trzeba było przejść przez strumień. W niektórych miejscach można było go przeskoczyć, ale naprawdę potrzebny był most. Dałem zadanie mojemu 10-letniemu synowi Ericowi, by zbudował ten most. Wyciąłem 2 małe drzewka, odciąłem konary i wykorzystałem je jako fundament. Wróciłem jakiś czas później i tam był nasz pierwszy most. Był taki dumny ze "swojego" mostu. Eric ciężko ze mną pracował przez całe lato budując ten dom. Stworzyło to wspomnienia, których nigdy nie zapomniał. Byłem wdzięczny, że spędziliśmy razem ten czas. Tęsknię za nim.
