Ain't life grand!

Another holiday in Poland and the majority of the stores were closed today, including Sowa's, so we missed our normal day of coffee and ciasto.

Joan spent most of her day reading her new book and rereading "When Breath Becomes Air". I spent it studying, downloading a new batch of Spanish video lessons, listening to a few podcasts in Polish and recalling some Polish vocabulary.

I received a nice email from the health department in Ohio telling me they had sent out Joan's long form of her birth certificate today. That is the form with the city of birth on it required by the Polish Civil Registry office. It will still have to be sent back to a different department for the apostile stamp. In May, when all of this started, I thought it would be completed by August but now it looks like October with the mail delays. Ah well, the sun is out, it's a nice evening, I'm healthy(I think) and I'm in love. LIFE IS GOOD.

Kolejne święto w Polsce i większość sklepów zostało dziś zamkniętych, w tym Sowa, więc straciliśmy nasz zwykły dzień na kawę i ciasto.

Joan spędzała większość dnia czytając  nową książkę i czytając ponownie "When Breath Becomes Air". Ja spędziłem czas na nauce, pobieraniu z netu nowej partii hiszpańskich lekcji wideo, słuchaniu kilku podcastów po polsku i przypominaniu polskiego słownictwa.

Otrzymałem miły e-mail z departamentu zdrowia w Ohio zawiadamiający, że dziś wysłali pełny akt  urodzenia Joanny. Jest to dokument podający miasto urodzenia, co jest wymagane przez Urząd Stanu Cywilnego. Nadal będzie musiał zostać odesłany do innego wydziału po pieczęć apostile. W maju, kiedy wszystko się zaczęło, pomyślałem, że całość sprawy zakończy się do sierpnia, ale teraz wygląda na to, że to będzie październik  choćby z powodu opóźnień w wysyłaniu korespondencji. No cóż, słońce zaszło, jest miły wieczór, jestem zdrowy (myślę) i jestem zakochany. ŻYCIE JEST DOBRE.
