New Year's Day

At last it has arrived.........2007. The year of big changes in the life of Joan and I. It's not only that we will move to Poland in August but also that we will stop working. I started working at age 13, some 50 years ago, and Joan the same. It is time that we enjoy the rest of our lives and we have hope that this will be possible.

Next week we will go to the Social Security office and arrange for our retirement to begin July 1st, 2007. June 28th will be our last day of work for our company here. We do not plan to do nothing in Poland. It is our hope to volunteer our time to help others, maybe give private English lessons or help young children to learn the language.

Still we have many things to do yet before we leave.

W końcu to ma arrived.........2007. Rok dużych zmian w życiu Joan i ja. To jest nie tylko, że ruszymy się do Polski w sierpniu ale też, że będziemy przestać pracować. Zacząłem pracowanie w wieku 13, kilka 50 lat temu, i Joan to samo. To jest czas, że cieszymy się resztą naszego życia i mamy nadzieję, że to będzie możliwe.

W przyszłym tygodniu pójdziemy do biura ZUS i umówimy się dla naszego stanu spoczynku, żeby zaczął lipiec 1., 2007. Czerwiec 28. będzie nasz ostatni dzień pracy dla naszej spółki tutaj. Nie planujemy nie robić niczego w Polsce. To jest nasza nadzieja by zaofiarować się nasz czas by pomóc innym, być może dać prywatne angielskie lekcje albo pomóc młodym dzieciom nauczyć się języka.

Jeszcze mamy dużo rzeczy by czynić jeszcze zanim wyruszymy.
