After 10 years of service, our toilet seat finally broke. I plan to go to Castorama and buy a new one to install. Not true! Do you know how many different styles and sizes there are? Dozens.
I had to go back home and measure the broken seat. I wasn't comfortable with it, so I removed it and took it to Castorama.
Fortunately, when I got there, an employee was helping another person decide which one the customer needed. When he was done, I asked for his assistance. He took the old seat, compared it to a few others, and gave me what I needed.
Back at home, I opened the box and laid out the parts for assembly. There were supposed to be two of each part. However, there was one part missing: the turn-screw to tighten the right side of the seat in place.
Fortunately, when I removed the old seat, I kept those parts. The assembly didn't take more than 10 minutes before the new seat was secured in place.
