Cafe & Park.

Another good weather day and a must day to take Joan out. I surprised her by taking her to Petit Paris, a cafe very close to Solacki Park. I have to admit, when I first heard there was a plan to build it so close to Milano's, a fairly famous restaurant and cafe. However, it has been very successful and that's good because a cousin of mine owns the property it was built on. In my humble opinion, they make the best cheesecake in Poznan. Today, we had coffee and pistachio cheesecake. It was fabulous.

After we were done, There is a paved path very close to Petit Paris that enters Wodziczki Park. I thought it was the perfect to stroll to the end of it with Joan. Here is a little history of the park.

Adam Wodziczki Park is a park located in the So艂acz district of Pozna艅 , between Aleja Wielkopolska in the south and the Bogdanka Valley in the north.

The area was tidied up and a park was established in 1971-1972 . Currently , the park area covers 7 ha, with 2,000 trees representing 54 species. Silver maples dominate (alley), as well as limes , oaks , black poplars and black alders . Plum trees have also penetrated from nearby allotment gardens . Along the Bogdanka, herbaceous vegetation grows, including: angelica , common nettle , hairy willowherb , thicket calyx and wood chervil .

Within the western green wedge, the continuation of the park to the west is So艂acki Park .

The name of the park commemorates the naturalist Adam Wodziczka, who made great contributions to Pozna艅 - a biologist , botanist , professor at the University of Pozna艅 , who in 1925 founded a social organization in Greater Poland and Pomerania called the Nature Protection League .

Kolejny dzie艅 dobrej pogody i obowi膮zkowy dzie艅, aby zabra膰 Joan. Zrobi艂em jej niespodziank臋, zabieraj膮c j膮 do Petit Paris, kawiarni po艂o偶onej bardzo blisko Parku Solackiego. Musz臋 przyzna膰, 偶e kiedy po raz pierwszy us艂ysza艂em, 偶e jest plan, aby zbudowa膰 go tak blisko Milano's, do艣膰 znanej restauracji i kawiarni. Jednak odnios艂a ona du偶y sukces i to dobrze, poniewa偶 m贸j kuzyn jest w艂a艣cicielem nieruchomo艣ci, na kt贸rej zosta艂a zbudowana. Moim skromnym zdaniem robi膮 najlepszy sernik w Poznaniu. Dzisiaj mieli艣my kaw臋 i sernik pistacjowy. By艂 bajeczny.

Gdy sko艅czyli艣my, bardzo blisko Petit Paris znajduje si臋 brukowana 艣cie偶ka, kt贸ra wchodzi do Parku Wodziczki. Pomy艣la艂em, 偶e to idealne miejsce, aby przespacerowa膰 si臋 do jej ko艅ca z Joan.

W latach 1971-1972 uporz膮dkowano teren i utworzono park. Obecnie park zajmuje powierzchni臋 7 ha, na kt贸rej ro艣nie 2000 drzew reprezentuj膮cych 54 gatunki. Dominuj膮 klony srebrzyste (aleja), a tak偶e lipy, d臋by, topole czarne i olsze czarne. Z pobliskich ogr贸dk贸w dzia艂kowych przenikn臋艂y tak偶e 艣liwy. Wzd艂u偶 Bogdanki ro艣nie ro艣linno艣膰 zielna, w tym: arcydzi臋giel, pokrzywa zwyczajna, wierzbownica ow艂osiona, kalina zaro艣lowa i trybula le艣na.

W obr臋bie zachodniego klina zieleni kontynuacj膮 parku w kierunku zachodnim jest Park So艂acki.

Liga Ochrony Przyrody.
