"It doesn't look good," - comments the creator of the Gemela poznańska service. Tomasz Hejna points out that he is not an expert in paving, but he has been approached by people involved in architecture or art history who see the problem.

This repetitiveness feels like a Photoshop copy-paste. Several people said that from ground level and pedestrian level, you can't see it, but let's remember that the Old Market is a place that likes to be photographed not only from a pedestrian's perspective but also likes to be photographed from a drone's perspective. These photos later end up very often in albums, books, or postcards - says Tomasz Hejna.

Internet users are comparing the new design to patterns on cheap carpets from markets. Initially, it was reported that the pavement would be laid in a herringbone pattern, but it is unclear why this was abandoned. 

Mostly new paving is being laid in the Old Market.
