I'm trying hard not to turn this blog into political statement about what is going on in the United States but it's not easy. Having adult children and grandchildren living there we are, of course, concerned for their welfare. Not a day goes by when there isn't something preposturous proposed, a totally unqualified person is selected for the Cabinet or another ally is alienated. I don't understand why people are not out in the streets protesting against it. Maybe they are afraid the military will be released against them like in other third-world countries. 

I thought this was interesting from the country Georgia:

 Bardzo staram się nie zamieniać tego bloga w polityczną wypowiedź na temat tego, co dzieje się w Stanach Zjednoczonych, ale nie jest to łatwe. Mając dorosłe dzieci i wnuki, które tam mieszkają, oczywiście martwimy się o ich dobro. Nie ma dnia, w którym nie proponuje się czegoś prekursorskiego, zupełnie niewykwalifikowana osoba zostaje wybrana do gabinetu lub kolejny sojusznik zostaje wyalienowany. Nie rozumiem, dlaczego ludzie nie protestują przeciwko temu na ulicach. Może obawiają się, że wojsko zostanie użyte przeciwko nim, tak jak w innych krajach trzeciego świata.
