Bus schedule?

Yes, a bus...……………….. schedule? Well, not exactly a schedule that was met. I had to go to Dos Mares food shopping so that meant taking a local bus. Now, the schedule said there was one at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30. I was ready for the bus at 9:30 but it didn't arrive until 10:00. I asked the driver if he was going to Dos Mares and he said NO, the next one would. The next one, 10:30:, arrived at 11:00 and he said NO. he was not going to Dos Mares. I called the tourist information office to see what was going on but they could not get a phone answered at the bus company. Dos Mares is 3 km away from our house. There is another store, Mercado, about 1 1/2 km away. To get to Mercado is a walk, there and back, with bags full of groceries. I thought taking the bus to Dos Mares would be better.

I tried one more time, at 14:30, for the bus and this time the driver said YES. The cost was 1Euro 25 cents. The problem was the return bus was at 15:20 so it only gave me 50 minutes to shop and on top of that, the bus going there didn't arrive on time and I only had 25 minutes to do all the shopping. I ran around the store quickly, bought almost everything and was back at the bus stop at 15:20. I waited and waited. Finally I saw the bus, the man inside waved and kept driving. He didn't stop. The next bus would be at 18:30. 3 hours later. I had no alternative but to put the bags on my shoulders and make the 3 km walk back to our house. It was along, very long, walk with the bags hanging from my shoulders. Maybe I should have just taken Joan and rolled her up to Mercado but they don't have everything.

Tak, autobus ... .................. .. harmonogram? Zapytałem kierowcę, czy jedzie do Dos Mares, a on odpowiedział "NIE", następny będzie.

Czekałem i czekałem. W końcu zobaczyłem autobus, człowiek w środku machnął i kontynuował jazdę.

You need a fold-up rolling cart. The ladies at the senior apartments have them and they work great. I bet you will be sore from that trip.

  2. Hi Linda, Yes, they do use the rolling cart here but if we buy one we would have to transport it back to Poland. I wasn't sore today from the trip, just have to plan it out better next week. How did you like the Carnival pictures?
