A Poznan student got into Harvard. What does she intend to study??

epoznan.pl has already written about Natalia Siwek's huge success.

Siwek is 17 years old and a student of the Second General Zamoyska and Helena Modrzejewska High School in Poznan. Natalia quoted by money.pl at the beginning of April said that she managed to achieve her educational dream with the help of relatives, friends, as well as the Our Future Foundation. The foundation supports young Poles and Ukrainians in applying to global universities.

The talented student was interviewed by Interia. The teenager admitted that she is very happy that she will be able to pursue an education in the US, and even happier that she will be able to attend Harvard. However, the road to achieving such success was not easy. Among other things, the teenager had to pass language tests, the American SAT (the equivalent of the Polish high school diploma in the US), and, on top of that, submit final grades from her entire high school to an American university. This would not be enough, however, if it were not for involvement in extracurricular activities and participation in many competitions or subject Olympiads. You also need to attach essays to your application and get recommendations from mentors.

 Natalia would like to combine a science major with a humanities one. She is considering Computer Science in combination with Political Science, for example.

Portal epoznan.pl pisał już o ogromnym sukcesie Natalii Siwek.

Siwek ma 17 lat i jest uczennicą II Liceum Ogólnokształcącego im. Generałowej Zamoyskiej i Heleny Modrzejewskiej w Poznaniu. Natalia cytowana przez money.pl na początku kwietnia powiedziała, że udało jej się zrealizować swoje edukacyjne marzenie dzięki pomocy bliskich, przyjaciół, a także Fundacji Nasza Przyszłość. Fundacja ta wspiera młodych Polaków i Ukraińców w aplikowaniu na światowe uczelnie.

Z utalentowaną uczennicą rozmawiała Interia. Nastolatka przyznała, że jest bardzo szczęśliwa, że będzie mogła kontynuować edukację w USA, a jeszcze bardziej szczęśliwa, że będzie mogła uczęszczać na Harvard. Droga do osiągnięcia takiego sukcesu nie była jednak łatwa. Nastolatka musiała m.in. przejść testy językowe, amerykański SAT (odpowiednik polskiej matury w USA), a na dodatek złożyć końcowe oceny z całego liceum na amerykańskiej uczelni. To jednak nie wystarczyłoby, gdyby nie zaangażowanie w zajęcia pozalekcyjne i udział w wielu konkursach czy olimpiadach przedmiotowych. Do aplikacji trzeba też dołączyć eseje i uzyskać rekomendacje od mentorów.

 Natalia chciałaby połączyć kierunek ścisły z humanistycznym. Rozważa na przykład Computer Science w połączeniu z Politologią.
