Spring day.

Finally, a Spring day in Poznan. It was warm enough to take Joan out for a little while in the afternoon. If the weather forecast is true, maybe I can take her to the botanical gardens.

Natalie came over and sat with Joan while I went to meet with Radek for our English/Spanish time together. We discussed the inflation rate here, politics, travel, and other topics.  I had breakfast earlier with Joan and a second breakfast at his house.

The first sidewalks in the Old Market are ready. Soon the cobblestones will return, which.... were not sold to Germany. Work on the Old Market is progressing on many fronts. Residents and tourists can already see the first fragments of the sidewalk surface.

"The first fragments of sidewalks in the Old Market have already been visible for several weeks - first they appeared between Wroclawska and Swietoslawska Streets, and more recently between Paderewskiego and Franciszkańska Streets. We're anxious that restaurateurs will be able to set up tables on some of the new pavement as early as the May weekend. Most of the sidewalk should be ready in the spring so that during the summer season establishments can operate as much as possible. Such as the conditions on the construction site will allow," - says Jacek Jaskowiak, mayor of Poznań.

.Wreszcie wiosenny dzień w Poznaniu. Było na tyle ciepło, że po południu udało mi się wyciągnąć Joannę na chwilę. Jeśli prognozy pogody się sprawdzą, może uda mi się zabrać ją do ogrodu botanicznego.

Natalie przyszła i usiadła z Joan, podczas gdy ja poszedłem spotkać się z Radkiem na nasz wspólny angielski/hiszpański czas. Rozmawialiśmy o stopie inflacji, polityce, podróżach i innych tematach.  Zjadłem wcześniej śniadanie z Joan i drugie śniadanie u niego w domu.

Pierwsze chodniki na Starym Rynku są już gotowe. Wkrótce wróci bruk, który.... nie został sprzedany do Niemiec. Prace na Starym Rynku postępują na wielu frontach. Mieszkańcy i turyści mogą już zobaczyć pierwsze fragmenty nawierzchni chodników.

"Pierwsze fragmenty chodników na Starym Rynku widoczne są już od kilku tygodni - najpierw pojawiły się między ulicami Wrocławską i Świętosławską, a ostatnio między ulicami Paderewskiego i Franciszkańską. Zależy nam, aby restauratorzy mogli ustawić stoliki na części nowego chodnika już w weekend majowy. Większość chodnika powinna być gotowa na wiosnę, tak aby w sezonie letnim lokale mogły działać w jak największym zakresie. Takich, na jakie pozwolą warunki na placu budowy" - mówi Jacek Jaśkowiak, prezydent Poznania.
