Dental.

 It was a rough weekend for Joan. A toothache started Friday night and didn't stop until today. I called the dentist at 8:00, told them the circumstances for the call, and asked how quickly she could be seen. At 11:15 we arrived at the dental clinic. Ortho Aidi where Joan needed an x-ray of her teeth first. It was 9 years the last time she went to a dentist.

The x-ray machine was on the second floor with no elevator but 2 assistants helped her climb the 2 staircases to the room. When it was done, they helped her back down.

After the dentist looked at the x-ray, she said the troubled tooth had to be removed. We thought that was going to happen so it wasn't a surprise. The surprise was the cost, 500 PLN($120). Maybe they classified it as an emergency, I don't know. I do know that 6 months ago at a regularly scheduled appointment, I paid 360 PLN($89). She has another one that should also be extracted but the dentist said to wait until it starts hurting. It will be more difficult to take out either time and she will have to see the dental surgeon. I can't wait to see what that will cost!

To był ciężki weekend dla Joan. Ból zęba zaczął się w piątek wieczorem i nie ustąpił aż do dzisiaj. Zadzwoniłem do dentysty o 8:00, podałem okoliczności i zapytałem, jak szybko mogą ją przyjąć. O 11:15 dotarliśmy do kliniki dentystycznej. Ortho Aidi, gdzie najpierw trzeba było zrobić prześwietlenie zębów. Ostatni raz była u dentysty 9 lat temu.

Aparat rentgenowski znajdował się na drugim piętrze w budynku bez windy, ale 2 asystentki pomogło jej wspiąć się po  schodach do pokoju rtg. Po zakończeniu pomogły jej zejść na dół.

Po tym, jak dentystka obejrzała zdjęcie rentgenowskie, powiedziała, że kłopotliwy ząb musi zostać usunięty. Wiedzieliśmy, że tak się stanie, więc nie było to dla nas zaskoczeniem. Zaskoczeniem był koszt, 500 PLN (120 USD). Może zaklasyfikowali to jako nagły przypadek, nie wiem. Wiem, że 6 miesięcy temu na regularnie zaplanowanej wizycie zapłaciłem 360 PLN (89 USD). Ma jeszcze jeden ząb, który też powinien być usunięty, ale dentysta powiedział, żeby poczekać, aż zacznie boleć. Za każdym razem będzie trudniej go wyjąć i będzie musiała udać się do chirurga szczękowego. Nie mogę się doczekać, aby zobaczyć, ile to będzie kosztować!
