To go or not to go.

I still have this debate going on in my head about whether or not to take Joan to Spain for 1 or 2 months, On the pro side is almost continuous sunshine while we are there.  Another pro is the food. There is no doubt that fruits vegetables and seafood are better. Just thinking about the food reminds me of calamari. No doubt it is my favorite followed by paella.

In the mornings it's possible to walk to the fish market where there is always a good selection of freshly caught fish on any day. Here, the fresh should be called freshly thawed-out fish after a plane ride in.

Coffee is another pro. Go into almost any cafe and the coffee is good. 

Another pro is the attitude of the Spanish people. It's easy to find people with a smile on their faces and enjoying life. Many people greet you on the street with a "good morning" or a "good afternoon."

On the negative side is number 1, the cost of the trip. We usually stay in the same town and there isn't really much to do or see. It's either a walk to a cafe, or restaurant, a long walk down the boardwalk, a walk around town, or staying in the flat with the TV. The last one is reserved only for a rainy day which there are not many of.

The local tourist organization here is expecting a lot.

Representatives of the tourism industry expect that after the opening of the air connection to Dubai, more tourists from this part of the world will start arriving in Poznan in April or May.  

"The temperature in Dubai then exceeds 50 degrees Celsius. We expect tourists from the Persian Gulf." - Jan Mazurczak of the Poznań Local Tourist Organization says, and explains that thanks to the training, employees learned what kind of tourist to prepare for. 

W mojej głowie wciąż toczy się debata na temat tego, czy zabrać Joan do Hiszpanii na 1 czy 2 miesiące. Plusem są prawie same słoneczne dni, gdy tam jesteśmy.  Kolejnym plusem jest jedzenie. Nie ma wątpliwości, że owoce, warzywa i owoce morza są lepsze. Na samą myśl o jedzeniu przypominają mi się kalmary. Bez wątpienia jest to moje ulubione danie, a zaraz po nim paella.

Rano można wybrać się na targ rybny, gdzie zawsze jest duży wybór świeżo złowionych ryb. Tutaj świeże ryby powinny być nazywane świeżo rozmrożonymi po podróży samolotem. 

Kawa to kolejna jakoścowo świetna rzecz. Wejdź do prawie każdej kawiarni, a kawa będzie wyśmienita. 

Kolejnym plusem jest charakter Hiszpanów. Łatwo jest znaleźć ludzi z uśmiechem na twarzy i cieszących się życiem. Wiele osób pozdrawia cię na ulicy mówiąc "dzień dobry" z rana czy po południu.

Negatywną stroną numer 1 są koszty podróży. Zwykle zatrzymujemy się w tym samym mieście i nie ma tam zbyt wiele do robienia lub zobaczenia. Jest to spacer do kawiarni lub restauracji, długi spacer promenadą, spacer po mieście, albo pozostanie w mieszkaniu z telewizorem. Ta ostatnia opcja zarezerwowana jest tylko na deszczowe dni, których nie ma zbyt wiele.

Poznańska, lokalna organizacja turystyczna i przedstawiciele tej branży spodziewają się wiele po otwarciu połączenia lotniczego do Dubaju. Oczekują, że w kwietniu lub maju do Poznania zacznie przyjeżdżać więcej turystów z tej części świata.  

"Temperatura w Dubaju przekracza wtedy 50 stopni Celsjusza. Spodziewamy się turystów znad Zatoki Perskiej." - mówi Jan Mazurczak z Poznańskiej Lokalnej Organizacji Turystycznej i wyjaśnia, że dzięki szkoleniu pracownicy dowiedzieli się, na jakiego turystę należy się przygotować.
