A little thing.

 Isn't it funny that a little thing can make your day? It happened today when I went to buy two pork chops to make cutlets.

Since I started doing all of the cooking, I make breaded pork cutlets fairly often. That always meant buying the chops, taking them home, and then pounding them to make them thinner. It did do that but they were still not very easy to eat.

Today, when I bought them, they had a new machine to pass the chops through from one end to the other. What was so amazing is that the machine had 2 rollers they passed over. The first roller pressed the chops a little thinner but the second rolled had little serrated blades that separated the meat a little. The butcher did it four times and when it was finished the chop was 3 times larger and much thinner.

I was anxious to see what difference it would make in eating them and Joan and I were very pleasantly surprised. They were much easier to eat than before and even seemed tastier. No more pounding with a meat tenderizer. Yippee!

I went today for a complete blood examination and will get the results tomorrow.

 Czy to nie zabawne, że drobiazg może uczynić twój dzień? Stało się to dzisiaj, kiedy poszedłem kupić dwa kotlety wieprzowe do zrobienia kotletów.

Odkąd zacząłem robić wszystko w kuchni, robię panierowane kotlety wieprzowe dość często. To zawsze oznaczało kupowanie kotletów, zabieranie ich do domu, a następnie rozbijanie ich, aby były cieńsze. Udawało się to zrobić, ale nadal nie były one zbyt łatwe do zjedzenia.

Dzisiaj, kiedy je kupiłem, mieli nową maszynę, przez którą przepuszczali kotlety z jednego końca na drugi. Co było tak niesamowite, to fakt, że maszyna miała 2 wałki, przez które przechodziły. Pierwszy wałek dociskał kotlety trochę cieńsze, ale drugi wałek miał małe ząbkowane ostrza, które trochę oddzielały mięso. Rzeźnik zrobił to 4 razy i po zakończeniu kotlet był 3 razy większy i dużo cieńszy.

Zależało mi na tym, żeby zobaczyć, jaką różnicę zrobi to w jedzeniu ich i Joan i ja byliśmy bardzo mile zaskoczeni. Były o wiele łatwiejsze do zjedzenia niż wcześniej i nawet wydawały się smaczniejsze. Nie trzeba było już męczyć się z kruszarką do mięsa. Yippee!

Poszedłem dzisiaj dla kompletnego badania krwi i dostanie wyniki jutro.
