Hot weather and Award.

The day started out like this but by 10AM the fog was gone, the sun was out and it started heating up.  Now it's 34c (86F)and hot. I had to go out once and when I got to the train crossing in Gołeciń the gates were down and the tracks were being repaired.  I had to turn around and take an alternate route and because of all the trucks it took me an hour to get to where I was going instead of 15 minutes.

I read today that Poznań has been awarded the Silver Screen awardat the prestigious U.S. International Film and Video Festival in Los Angeles in the category of the best tourist film. It's the third prize this year for promoting a city in foreign TV outlets. You can read more about it in the "News in Poznan" on the left of this blog.

Our flat smells great today, Joan is preparing Gazpacho and the smell of fresh tomatoes and vegetables is very strong.

Dzień zaczął się tak, ale przez 10 rano mgły nie było, słońce i zaczęło się nagrzewa. Teraz 34c i gorące. Musiałem iść raz i gdy dostałem do pociągu przejścia granicznego w Gołeciń bramy były w dół i utworów były naprawiane. Musiałem zawrócić i podjąć inną trasę i dlatego wszystkie ciężarówki zajęło mi godzinę, aby dostać się gdzie idę zamiast 15 minut.

 Czytałem dziś, że Poznań został wyróżniony awardat Silver Screen otrzymała prestiżową nagrodę International Film Festival i wideo w Los Angeles w kategorii najlepszy film turystyczny.
