Whew!!!

The trip to the dentist is over.  I arrived on time to Ortho-Aidi dental clinic.  It's a new building on Strzeszńska street and inside very modern decor.  The young receptionists were very helpful and I was asked to sit down and wait.  It was interesting to see by one wall there were two laptops setup, connected to the internet and anyone waiting could use them for free.

I waited 15 minutes and then the dental assistant came out and escorted me into the dental room.  On the left side was a desk and two chairs. On the right side was the dental chair with very modern equiptment.  The dentist, Monika, was in her 40's I think and spoke enough English for me to communicate with her. I told her my problem, expecting the worst of course, but it turned out the problem was with the build up of plaque over the four years we have lived in Poland.  She advised me to have my teeth cleaned and I agreed.

Now, I have a low threshhold for pain and when I had my teeth cleaned in America I was always given Novacaine to numb any pain.  The dentist in America would clean the bottom left side one week, the bottom right side the next, then the uppers.  Usually it would take a month.

Monika said she would clean them all today without Novacaine but if I felt any pain to let her know.  She started, I held on to the chair arms and after 20 minutes she was completely done with little or no pain involved.  She told me to have this done every 6 months, something I knew but put off.  The total cost for the examination, cleaning and polishing of teeth was 200zl($70).  I don't know if that is cheap or expensive compared to other Polish dentists but compared to America, very cheap.

Wyprawa do dentysty jest skończona. I przybył na czas do Ortho-Aidi kliniki dentystycznej. Jest to nowy budynek na ulicy i wewnątrz Strzeszńska bardzo nowoczesnym stylu. Młody recepcjonistki były bardzo pomocne i poproszono mnie, aby usiąść i czekać. Interesujące było zobaczyć w jednej ze ścian były dwa konfiguracji laptopów, podłączony do internetu i czeka ktoś mógł z nich korzystać za darmo.

Czekałem 15 minut, a następnie asystent dentystyczny wyszedł i zaprowadził mnie do gabinetu dentystycznego. Po lewej stronie było biurko i dwa krzesła z prawej strony był fotel z equiptment bardzo nowoczesne. Dentysta, Monika, była w jej 40-Myślę, że wystarczająco angielski i mówił mi komunikować się z nią. Powiedziałem jej, mój problem, oczekując najgorszego, oczywiście, ale okazało się, że problem był z tworzenia się płytki nazębnej w ciągu czterech lat żyliśmy w Polska. Poradziła mi, że moje zęby czyszczone i zgodziłem się.

Teraz mam niski próg bólu i kiedy miałem zęby czyszczone w Ameryce byłem zawsze podane Novacaine uśmierzenia bólu. Dentysta w Ameryce czyste dole po lewej stronie jeden tydzień, na dole po prawej stronie obok, to cholewkami. Zazwyczaj zajęłoby miesiące.
