No closet.

Yesterday there was a demonstration "Pozna艅 against violence" on Plac Wolno艣ci.

It was a reaction to the events from Bia艂ystok, where there was a riot during the march of equality. People who want to support the LGBT community have gathered at Wolno艣ci Square.

Organizers and invited guests delivered their speeches. They referred to the incidents in Podlasie, and there were also examples of the recent equality march in Gniezno.

In the crowd, you could see, among others current MPs: Szymon Zi贸艂kowski or Rafa艂 Grupi艅skiego from the Platforma Obywatelska. Joanna Ja艣kowiak, the wife of Jacek Ja艣kowiak, also appeared on the square of freedom. Some of the participants brought various banners, and symbols of political parties appeared. Speakers were witnesses of events in Bialystok, as well as representatives of leftist circles - 'we do not want to go back into the closet' - one of them said.

About one thousand people took part in the event.

Today, in the morning, we had an appointment downstairs with a doctor to get new prescriptions for our medicines.  It was a different doctor, again, but thankfully, she spoke English. She said now we could just request refills at the main desk and a day or two later we would have the prescriptions without a doctor visit, that will be good. She also took the diagnoses of Joan's condition and examined her. She gave me the location of a place in Pozna艅 where I might be able to get some help.

In the afternoon we went for a walk around the street round building known as the "Okr膮glak" building. past the Great  Opera House, the fountain, the Zamek, down 艣w. Marcin street and then to Empik for a coffee.

When we were done we returned home where Joan prepared spaghetti for dinner while I wrote this blog.

Wczoraj odby艂a si臋 demonstracja „Pozna艅 przeciwko przemocy” na Placu Wolno艣ci.

By艂a to reakcja na wydarzenia z Bia艂egostoku, gdzie podczas marszu r贸wno艣ci nast膮pi艂y zamieszki. Ludzie, kt贸rzy chc膮 wspiera膰 spo艂eczno艣膰 LGBT, zebrali si臋 na placu Wolno艣ci.

Wyst膮pili organizatorzy i zaproszeni go艣cie. Odnie艣li si臋 do incydent贸w na Podlasiu, by艂y te偶 przyk艂ady niedawnego marszu r贸wno艣ci w Gnie藕nie.

W t艂umie mo偶na by艂o zobaczy膰 m.in. obecnych pos艂贸w: Szymona Zi贸艂kowskiego czy Rafa艂a Grupi艅skiego z Platformy Obywatelskiej. Na placu wolno艣ci pojawi艂a si臋 r贸wnie偶 Joanna Ja艣kowiak, 偶ona Jacka Ja艣kowiaka. Niekt贸rzy uczestnicy przynie艣li r贸偶ne transparenty i pojawi艂y si臋 symbole partii politycznych. M贸wcy byli 艣wiadkami wydarze艅 w Bia艂ymstoku, a tak偶e przedstawicieli 艣rodowisk lewicowych - „nie chcemy wraca膰 do szafy” - powiedzia艂 jeden z nich.
W wydarzeniu wzi臋艂o udzia艂 oko艂o tysi膮ca os贸b.

Dzi艣 rano um贸wili艣my si臋 z lekarzem na dole, aby otrzyma膰 nowe recepty na nasze leki. Znowu by艂 inny lekarz, ale na szcz臋艣cie m贸wi艂a po angielsku. Powiedzia艂a, 偶e teraz mo偶emy poprosi膰 o uzupe艂nienie zapas贸w przy g艂贸wnym biurku, a dzie艅 lub dwa p贸藕niej b臋dziemy mieli recepty bez wizyty u lekarza, to b臋dzie dobre. Zdiagnozowa艂a r贸wnie偶 stan Joanny i zbada艂a j膮. Da艂a mi lokalizacj臋 w Poznaniu, gdzie m贸g艂bym uzyska膰 pomoc.

Kiedy sko艅czyli艣my, wr贸cili艣my do domu, gdzie Joan przygotowa艂a spaghetti na obiad, podczas gdy ja pisa艂em ten blog.
