Boarding.

Well, tomorrow starts our trip to Montenegro. I'm a litle apprehensive at the start of each trip we make now because of all it involves getting Joan on a plane.

First, I must ask for special assistance to get her on and off the plane. In the airport, I go to the information desk and tell them I need special assistance that was prearranged with Lot Airlines for this trip. They call Lot and one or two people come to help me. One pushes the wheelchair and the other the luggage.

At the ticket counter, because of the wheelchair, it should go fast and then through customs.

Once that is done,  they take us to the waiting area and wait until it's boarding time.

By that time, a special truck with a lift arrives and we are put on the lift that will take us up to the airplane door opposite where the other passengers board.  From here it should be a short walk to the seats. However, this time I will ask if the wheelchair can be used to get to Joan's seat. 

Once she is seated, they will take the wheelchair and put it into the checked baggage area under the plane.

This process is repeated in Poznan, Warsaw, and Podgorica airports.

Jutro zaczynamy naszą podróż do Czarnogóry. Na początku każdej podróży, którą teraz odbywamy, jestem trochę zaniepokojony, ponieważ wiąże się to z wsiadaniem Joan do samolotu.

Najpierw muszę poprosić o specjalną pomoc przy wsiadaniu i wysiadaniu z samolotu. Na lotnisku idę do punktu informacyjnego i mówię, że potrzebuję specjalnej pomocy, która została wcześniej uzgodniona z Lot Airlines na tę podróż. Dzwonią do Lot i jedna lub dwie osoby przychodzą mi pomóc. Jedna pcha wózek inwalidzki, a druga bagaż.

W kasie biletowej, ze względu na wózek inwalidzki, powinno pójść szybko, a następnie przez odprawę celną.

Gdy to zrobią, zabierają nas do poczekalni i czekają, aż nadejdzie czas wejścia na pokład.

W tym czasie przyjeżdża specjalna ciężarówka z windą i zostajemy umieszczeni w windzie, która zabierze nas do drzwi samolotu naprzeciwko, gdzie wsiadają inni pasażerowie.  Stamtąd powinien być krótki spacer do siedzeń. Jednak tym razem zapytam, czy wózek inwalidzki może zostać użyty, aby dostać się na miejsce Joan. 

Gdy już usiądzie, zabiorą wózek inwalidzki i umieszczą go w strefie bagażu rejestrowanego pod samolotem.

Proces ten powtarza się na lotniskach w Poznaniu, Warszawie i Podgoricy.
