Governments!

It's always amazed me how elected officials argue so much between themselves and their party affiliations. In the U.S. it's the democrats against the republicans. Here, we have the President against the Prime Minister. Their current argument is about who, according to the Polish constitution, has the right to represent Poland in meetings of the European Union. Both claim it is their right and the battle for egoistic power is so strong that now the matter is going before a Constitutional Tribunal for a final decision. Instead of taking care of the country like they are supposed to do, this kind of petty nonsense goes on.

In Poznań there was a strike of police officers, fire fighters, prison and border guards today demanding more funds for uniformed services and keeping current pension regulations in place.
Poland’s Ministry of the Interior and Administration wants to extend the period of officer’s duty of service from 15 years to 25 years before becoming eligible for retirement. The workers are not happy with that proposal so 4,000 of them were suppose to appear in the Rynek but only 600 showed up.

Back at home, we studied and had two guests at about 3:30PM. I think I mentioned that last year we met two young ladies from the Mormon church who were in Poznań to try to find some converts. Well, those two have left, replaced with a new team and they wanted to come over and meet us.


To jest zawsze zdumione mnie jak wybierało urzędnicy dowodzą tyle między sobą a ich przynależnościami partii. W Stanach Zjednoczonych to jest demokraci przeciw republikaninom. Tutaj, mamy Prezydenta przeciw Prezesowi Rady Ministrów. Ich aktualny argument jest, o którym, stosownie do polskiej konstytucji, ma prawo by reprezentować Polskę w spotkaniach Unii Europejskiej. Obaj twierdzą, że to jest ich prawo i bitwa o egoistyczną siłę jest tak silna, że teraz sprawa idzie przed Konstytucyjnym Trybunałem dla decyzji definitywnej. Zamiast zajmowania się krajem jak oni są przypuszczani by czynić, ten rodzaj drobnego nonsensu idzie dalej.

W Poznań był strajk policjantów, strażaków, więzienie i granica zabezpiecza się dzisiaj żądające więcej funduszów dla ujednoliconych usług i utrzymujących się aktualnych regulacji emerytury na miejscu.

Ministerstwo Spraw Wewnętrznych Polski i Administracja chce rozszerzyć okres obowiązku oficera usługi od 15 lat do 25 lat przed stawaniem się odpowiednią dla stanu spoczynku. Pracownicy nie są szczęśliwi z tamtą propozycją tak 4,000 z nich byli przypuszczają pojawić się w Rynek ale tylko 600 ukazali się.

W tył w domu, studiowaliśmy i mieliśmy dwóch gości przy około 3:30PM.
