Apple Bread recipe

Lucie,
Sorry it took so long to get this recipe out but here it is.
Apple Bread a 9x5 inch loaf
Have all ingredients at about 70 degrees, preheat oven to 350 degrees
Sift together: 1 ½ cups sifted all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
Add: 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

Cream in a large bowl: ¼ cup of oil
with ½ cup sugar
beat in 1 egg
Add: 1 large freshly grated apple
¼ cup apple juice

Add the sifted ingredients alternately to the fruit mixture with: 1 cup of buttermilk*
*If you don't have any buttermilk just mix 1 tablespoon vinegar plus sweet milk to make
1 cup (let stand 5 minutes)

Stir the batter with a few swift strokes, until just blended. Fold in: 1 cup broken nutmeats

Place the dough in a greased loaf pan. Bake the bread about 1 ¼ hours, letting it cool in the
pan.

We moved up our date to go to Berlin to the 6th of March. We'll drive there, stay at the Hotel Nova and spend Saturday and Sunday sightseeing.
